Chatterbox Wednesday

Morning!

Beer festival, good*! We managed to try around 80% of the offerings. Most of the remaining 20% were ciders and I haven't been a cider drinker for many years.

Ganes! Division 2, cleared the map of all objectives then did the last mission. Cunts. Map wiped from lovely blue to red. All objectives retaken by enemies. Fuck. That. Also, sound bug seems to be worse, it just 'fixes' itself after you finish fighting now. Useful. Anyway, gear level is ~293 so just going for main missions now. I'll likely still play now and then but . . .

WoW Classic! It's so grindy, so unfriendly and so so good. Gone is the handholding and mega fast levelling, gone are the facerolling tactics and gone are the noobs (I wish). Unfortunately it's brought out all the snobs, people who claim** they played vanilla yet seem to know very little about what it was actually like. The 'social' side is back though, mostly for the better, lots of chat going on. I hit level 12 after ~6 hours before putting it down, slow but steady progress.

As D2 was being a buggy twat last night I thought I'd have a quick browse of my library and noticed Wonder Boy 3: The Dragons Trap. Remembering that I'd left it at the final dungeon, I booted it up. An hour later and it was done. One trophy off the plat, complete the game in hard mode, lol no. Normal was painful enough (I still thoroughly enjoyed the game mind, it was my favourite on the old Master System).


* Can a beer festival be anything but?
** Disproved at least 3 people who claimed they'd played it. Seriously, what's there to gain from lying about playing a game? Idiots.

Yeah the sound bug is annoying. It happened to me first after being grenaded and thought the sound being fucked was a feature.

Games. Division 2. Control points & helping randos. trying not to do too much till my pal renews his ps+. Got a new AR, the mk16. I like it. Have retired the M4 for now. Played a round of the PvP team thing. We won. Conchord have you tried it?

Finished S1 of Schitt's Creek.
Haven't seen the second episode of Peaky Blinders yet. Folk on twitter moaning about the Glasgow accents. Are they any worse than the brum/cockernee ones? I doubt it. Fucking scotch whingers.

Haven't done anything involving other people yet. They're generally the worst. Saying that though, most of my most entertaining times in Div1 was spent hunting rogues (or going rogue myself) as a group in the dark zone.

Also, second episode of Peaky Blinders is up already? Where? Watched the first on iPlayer on Monday but second episode wasn't available (or showing, at least).

TV: I watched the penultimate Orange is the New Black.

OTTM: I watched a female scally having a violent fit outside the train station last night, the police assured everyone the ambulance was on the way. Hopefully she is OK.

Was it the storyline about Arthur packing it in to open a falafel stall? Only lasts a couple of episodes.

It's getting better, thanks for asking. I have been soaking it regularly in warm, soapy water to soften it, and applying antiseptic cream.

Might be some millage to this. In Revenge of the Sith Annakin seemed genuinely surprised he had knocked up Padme and then the pregnancy seemed to move along at lightning pace. Although I do not have all the exact locations of the suspects to hand in the period I am reasonably confident Annakin was in the outer rims at the time of conceiving. 

Overcast and rainy here, everything's cooled down.

Games: DQB2, what else would I be playing? And why?

Visited another of the explorer islands before moving on with the story. On this island they are extremely magnanimous, some would even say magmanimous, in providing magma pits, so plenty of opportunity for nasty accidents. It also has cows. I first befriended two bovines with a view of taking them back to the Island of Awakening. I already had a feeling that I should probably leave animals until later, like, just before leaving time, since they can be killed in battles.

Then I befriended a stone golem and recruited a third cow to the party.

I also made friends with a hammerhood.

A few monsters and magma pits later I'd lost one cow. Then I spotted a super strong Cumaulus in the distance and made a beeline for it. However, it kept hovering above magma, making the ensuing battle extremely difficult. The stone golem was mainly in the way, but the hammerhood fell into the soup early on, pleading for help the whole time, poor little thing. He was joined by Malroth who kept swearing whilst being stuck underground. I was trying to keep up my health and land as many hits as I could.

It wasn't helping that my controller was running low on battery at this point.

When the battle was finally over the hammerhood had survived but the cows... had been turned into steaks. I feel very bad about leading them to their doom. Eating your party members is probably also ethically a grey area.

I really like this game.

A hard Buryexit. A bad business.
