I'm sad the other Terry Dicks is dead, whoever he is, but if he was still alive I would not have discovered this: "Terence Patrick Dicks was Conservative MP for Hayes and Harlington from 1983 until 1997. Standing for Bristol South in 1979 he was defeated by Michael Cocks." Cheers Tezza. My honourable member should stand erect whilst speaking to the house.

Interesting snippet on the news saying there's an exploit in the Chrome browser which enables a naughty person to execute anything they want including code to extract all stored data, passwords, for anything you access ... they say they will have a fix "In a week or two." ffs... I have returned to firefox...
Tom's Hardware link
I have the latest patched version What annoys me more though is the nag screen that pops up every time I launch Chrome informing me that Flash player will no longer be supported after December 2020. There's no way to disable this message without disabling Flash. I shouldn't have to put up with this popping up several times a day over the next 16 months... Thanks Destry , just emerged from a 2 hr session of AoW3; I cannot put the damned game down ... I didn't read to the bit with the stable release version number because I thought the NVIDIA video review marked the end of the article ... I guess there are lots of corporate organizations who work their own code into programmatic interfaces the way that they did with XP, so version control is much more complex. But I had my own reasons for thinking it had got buggy because Amazon Prime has been suffering dropped 2-3 frames about every 3 seconds coincident with this timeline. I've dug into this and it does appear to be a Chrome issue as Prime Video runs faultlessly under Firefox. I'm sure it's just coincidence that the jerkiness appeared about when Google started selling its own pay per view UTub service... 🤣
