There's a dangerous myth that revolution leads to better things ...  The major European revolutions / civil war... Russian = established the monolithic Russian state ... French = obliterated a large proportion of population ... German = created the conditions for Hitler and WW2 Spanish = established a fascist state that still exists vis suppression of Basques and Catalans English = 10% of the population dead; in England - however that figure rises to 40% in Ireland As soon as you militarise peaceful protest, you have lost; what is about to happen in Hong Kong, or even if you don't with a fascist state, what happened in Tiananmen Square, Prague, Budapest, Warsaw etc etc Take the disaster of the 'Arab Spring', ask the people of the Middle East, Libya etc how well that went. I believe in the ballot box, not the arbitrary violence of street riots, mob rule and the enthronement of the most brutal. |

No rioting on my train. Just the usual undercurrent of dread and despair. It also felt cool for the first time in a while. Autumn on the way?
I'm not sure I'm ready for any full scale rioting. I don't even have a pitchfork. I do have a cricket bat though.
School term starts tomorrow so at least the transport system and roads will be fucked again. Oh.
If I could think of something positive to share I would. But I can't.

TV. Schitts Creek & Peaky Blinders. Lovely line from Arthur when being violent. Not at all messed up that lad.
Games. Levelling up on Div2. More control points. Didn't get on till late and no time for a mission/side. Got some quite pokey guns now.

It's cool, fresh and starting to feel Autumnal here.
I watched the last ever Orange is the New Black, I think they tied it altogether really well and have just got another 20 minutes or so to watch of The Boys.
Games: I had a brief dabble on PUBG and got a 7th place with a couple of kills.
OTTM: Took the kid and his cousins to the Abbeydale Miniature Railway which was quite good for a couple of hours.

I completed Uncharted. I also started Uncharted 2. Still a tremendous game. I am about 25% through it. I am in the middle of a revolution in Nepal.

ZZZzzzzz uh, oh! moon day again, weather cloudy with sun 18-20 deg. Netflix: binged from dusk till dawn 3 seasons, not bad a bit drawn out in places, rumours of series cancellation, though not confirmed.
