I really feel like I've wasted my evening. Just watched crap on YouTube. This is living. Only 240 views for this awesome rendering of Jenkins' Palladium! You weren't spreading your net widely enough (they also do a brilliant GoT theme cover ... which looks as though it was shot in Skyrim...

Cummings and goings, Goings and Cummings “. . . doesn't it seem odd that Gowing's always coming and Cummings' always going?” ― George Grossmith, The Diary of a Nobody

“Much better left alone,’ chimed in old Jack Linden sagely, ‘argyfying about politics generally ends up with a bloody row an’ does no good to nobody.”

Something, something hole.
Morning, Making soup. Not quite recovered from chopping the world's strongest shallots.
Got a bit of a long lie this morning as Mrs C & the child came downstairs to watch last nights strictly over breakfast.
TV. Wee bit of Schitt's Creek but I was falling asleep. Games. Thought I was getting a second wind so opened an Elvis juice when gaming hour commenced. Found myself nodding off controller in hand. My character running into walls constantly. Sacked it off and went to bed.
Rich and compelling storytelling. Shades of Fitzgerald in the prose I'm sure you'll agree.

Morning!
Falling asleep with a controller (alternatively book or mobile phone) in my hands is one of my special moves.
Bit more DQB2 last night, cathartic demolishing of a mountain in my quest for marble. Then once I put in the fortifications I was able to restore the castle loo - first things first. Now the inhabitants are happily pooping again. My guards also know now how to kabuff. The mob of headhunters didn't stand a chance.
Still working my way through Life on Mars. I also need to find some time for watching Dark Crystal on my own as I don't want to inflict this on the Preferred Mammal (watching a bunch of puppets in a high fantasy setting is probably his idea of hell).

Morning (just)!
Started Brassic last night. Two episodes in and it's quite good fun so far.
Only game played was Super Mario World whilst at work, which I should be getting back to soon*. The additions to the Switch Online thing really makes me glad I bought that SNES Mini not so long ago . . .
*Super Mario World, that is.

Hello. Dad/Boy day today, as my partner has gone to Worthing for lunch with friends. So far, we've been down the park and visited the Co-op. He's now sat eating his lunch. TVblog - some Chef and My Fridge. Bookblog - coming to the end of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. A cracking book. Think I'll read something else before reading the other novels in the collection. Gamesblog - nope. But intrigued by tenthenemy's description of DQB2. Switch isn't it?

Just been sorting through some old crap in the loft, and discovered a box of old games and consoles: SNES, N64, GameCube, an original gameboy. I briefly considered going full amipal and posting it on YouTube, but in the end decided to put it all back and forget about it for another 10 years.

You're supposed to try and set them up, realise they don't work on modern TVs*, spend a small fortune on bits and bobs to get them to work on modern TVs**, play them for ten minutes THEN put it all back away to repeat the process in a few years. Also, tenthenemy , Star Fox doesn't really do it for me and I'm pretty sure it'll be added by this time next year anyway. *Obviously, excluding the Gameboy. ** ^

Did anyone on here make a fist of playing Original Divinity 2? Is it worth sticking with? Or too hard or unforgiving on casual players?

Watch News! (try and stay awake)
I finally got the back off my Commodore Time Computer, put new batteries in (386s) and nothing happened. A bit of fiddling and it lit up briefly. Good news you might think. Not so. On investigation, it seems that the previous owner had been scratching at the battery contacts.
Great story etc..

Batch cooking part Deux. Vat of pasta sauce bubbling away.
The bag of shallots we bought really are weapons grade. Perhaps bojo had been chopping sone when he heard about his brothers resignation.
Time for a quick 30m botw blast
