Did anyone on here make a fist of playing Original Divinity 2? Is it worth sticking with? Or too hard or unforgiving on casual players? Do you mean Divinity Original Sin II? Or the original Divinity II Ego Draconis? I played some of that. It was good but I got stuck and gave up in huff.

Good afternoon boxers of the chat.
No games yesterday, instead I went to the Bermondsey beer mile. It was biblical.
Today? Some division, but mostly sleep.

Off to a nerf gun party at 6. The child is the one attending. We're just kicking about waiting for it to finish. Apparently melee kills aren't allowed.
Hopefully some Divisioning later where melee kills are encouraged. Probably watch Pokey Blunders as well. I'm hoping for more Arthur going proper mental against the Huns.

I had a particularly obnoxious member of the Gestapo treating my legs; when you have to explain that cross-contamination occurs in both space and time so don't dip your fucking hand into the emollient when you've just stripped the dressings with that glove... "But it's all your leg init..." Fuckwit. They teach this in 101 nursing and in a patient who has a degraded immune system additional challenges to its effectiveness are literally life-threatening. And it's going to be a trying week as well, so I have had to prepare loads of stuff instead of lying in bed hurting. Consequently my legs are on fire and I am utterly shattered... but I did get my replacement trackball... it's only when you replace something which you've used pretty much continually throughout 18-22 hrs. a day that you realise the old one was pretty manky... This is just about the only one structured so that you can hold it in the air and freely move the ball and operate the buttons without repositioning your hands all the time. If I am ever able to park my backside on a chair for more than 10 minutes again, I would still use this in preference to a mouse. It's pricey, but you can move the cursor v quickly and with excellent fine control. I used the Logitech MX wireless mouse which was even more expensive...

Does that improve the speed and accuracy of moving a cursor round the screen, compared to a mouse? I haven't PC gamed since Doom 2, apart from Civ.
It's just, sometimes I find the mouse limiting when I'm spreadsheeting. I'd like an upgrade.

It's just, sometimes I find the mouse limiting when I'm spreadsheeting. I'd like an upgrade. I find it better in both respects and moving your thumb half an inch is a bloody sight faster than lifting a mouse off the mouse mat, moving it to the other side; it's also a helluva lot easier on the wrist. Although I expect your wrist gets regular strengthening exercises I've tried literally every trackball on the market and the Perixx scores best for me because the extra bulgy bit to the back/bottom left hand side allows my large mitt to rest comfortably on it, and the trackball sits in the right place; the more expensive ones are shaped slightly oddly, so with the Logitech one the ball comes on the middle/bottom of the thumb whereas the Perixx ball sits under the last section under the pad of the thumb, where I think it needs to be. But remember for games purposes I play TBS games like NP2, Diplomacy, Civ IV and AoW3 and no RTS or FPS stuff. I do use the on screen keyboard to input this stuff - each letter clicked on, with the trackball being whizzed about by my thumb with much less effort than using a combined mouse and keyboard, but that is as much to do with the fact that I do this reclining Roman senator style lying on my side... I hope that helps
