Today is my Friday. My boss is back from holidays on Monday so I'm trying to do a week's work today.

Destry my old friend, it would indeed have saved time, but I would then have been as guilty as he of not being prepared to argue my case. How can I accuse people like him of being ignorant without giving the reasons why I hold my views. If I can do this in great discomfort and not inconsiderable pain we might eventually chip away at the prejudice encasing the prejudiced. Put another way, how can we complain about their prejudice if we aren't prepared to make some effort to remove it? Astonishingly he shook my hand at the end of the journey and promised to think more about it and read up 'a bit' from all sources ... He was probably humouring me, but...
