" 17 Sept, 1975 - United Kingdom 26% Inflation
September 17th, 1975 : Inflation was running at 26% in Great Britain (US inflation was 9.2%) and the only thing certain is that times will become harder as the number of people out of work increases and the government setting a ceiling on pay rises of an annual increase of 12 pound per year, with many increases on prices still to come life will become much harder for the British worker. British governments have allowed the spiral to go out of control so now the medicine to fix the problem is much harder to take especially when it comes from a Labour government which is funded by trade union donations, but unless inflation is fixed quickly British goods will become even more un-competitive than they are currently."
That period was a nightmare to live through

You and two guests are here or only you and 2 guests survived the afterbox? Doesn't sound a good one to live through at least they had a bit more direction than this lot?

Morning!
My gaming hour last night was spent playing Divinity OS 2. Continued with the two person demolition team and had a very tough fight involving ~12 oil blob things. Promptly set them on fire and, when they died, watched ~12 fire blobs take their place, constantly healing thanks to all the fire. Fucking sneaky shit game. Anyway, I won, and kept the NPC alive, only to find Ser Lora, my necromancer squirrel knight companion, had perished. Reloaded instantly. Realised I hadn't saved all night. Fuck. Gaming hour wasted.
TV wise, got caught up with Suits. They seem to be bringing everyone back for the last series, except a certain Princess I expect. Also forgot to watch Peaky Blinders again. At least that's tonight sorted.

I am shockingly busy at work again.
Also, Jim Rosenthal or Steve Ryder?

Apparently "If Sir Lora dies, he will follow you in spirit form. You can see him with Spirit Vision."
I always thought he was irritating.

This half eight train is murder. (Bit like my chat, yes yes...)
Full of students. The music ones are all on laptops running Ableton taking up tables. The video games design ones haven't washed. Need to make an effort to make the 0805.
So the lib Dems want another EU referendum... But the Scots shouldn't get another independence vote. Hmmm.

A bit of light relief is welcome after the stress of some of the fights. Just have to remember not to set the world on fire this time around and he might stand a chance. Poor little guy. I probably should've tried to resurrect him before reloading mind. . .

I went with keeping everything on fire and then using bows or summons to kill everything. Should try and finish that game but witchering again. A lubberkin as a guardian spirit is just messed up.

My ears are still buggered. Don’t go diving when you think you might have a cold.
1970s. For the bit of the 1970s I was alive I was abroad. I intend to duplicate this period if we go fully retro, though with less teething and with marginally better bowel control.
Still, it’s only Tuesday. By Friday we’ll probably be well on course for a repeat of the depredations of King John.
Games. Elite. Heading back to the bubble. A rough calculation suggests it should take me about 11.5 hours of solid gameplay, assuming I don’t fartarse about looking at things. Say what you like about the nerdery, but there’s no denying it presents enormous value for money.

Most of my fights are over in a turn or two due to the builds I've gone with. Pure power attacks. Hence why I struggle with multiple, weak, enemies that like to spread out. I should probably have went poison instead of water/air with my summoner, considering I'm using Fane as my warrior, but can't be bothered respeccing now, and skill books are expensive.

Indeed, Jo Swinson has, along with her party, with one policy decision managed to alienate at least 45% of the potential voters. Utterly removed from the electorate they aim to represent, they have grabbed hold of the other end of BoJo and the ERG's rope, thus removing my last viable voting option. BoJo and JoJo - this lurch by the Libs will send votes to the Tories out of the grey vote quicker than you can say 'Brexit'. I really fear the bidding war that has started pre-election - hyper inflation is rapidly becoming a possibility. The people most severely impacted in that event will be those already struggling on low or fixed incomes.

I seem to have found that there was a sudden change when money doesn't seem a problem anymore but finding better kit and sorting builds is more effort than hiding and cheating fights. The mirror in the boat allows build modifying a bit.

I expected to come back to thriving Rosenthal/Ryder chat. Your loss chatterbox, your loss.
Inflation chat - I don't like the Tories but I do trust them not to mess the economy up to the extent of plus 5% inflation, they would lose too much of their elderly core vote. The Lib Dems won't get near power so the real threat is Labour coming in and implementing some mad economic plan where they take too much back into public ownership and dish out massive bribes to the unions. It probably wouldn't pan out that way though under Labour though.

Hello.
My gaming hour was spent entirely on the Isle of Awakening in DQB2 pottering about by unlocking recipes, including one that enabled me to finish my changing room, say hello to my animals and finding that the cows are reproducing at an alarming rate, giving out better weapons to my armed citizens and finding that I made too many, and doing some landscaping, including deciding to move my forest because I need more space for fields.
Somewhere there's an article online in which the author was complaining about the post-game grind in DQB2, citing the example of having to spend 5,000 gratitude hearts on unlocking something. I'd welcome the opportunity to spend 5,000 hearts on anything because I'm drowning in them (not really). So, I dunno, git gud?! It's your own fault if your citizens are miserable because they need the loo.
I also discovered that there's an item that needs 5 scaly steaks to unlock. I already have more than that, but they aren't registering? Will have to look into that.
Very happy to hear that Dragon Quest 1-3 are coming to the Switch, although DQ 2 has a reputation for being hard and unforgiving. Still would like to give it a try.

Can't believe I missed all the speccy and MENSA chat yesterday. Fun MENSA fact, my at the time girlfriend applied for me in 1995 so I did the home test (under strict controlled conditions) and sent it off. Wasn't the first kind of these tests I've done, grammar school entry at 11+ and 12+ were similar plus did a few IQ tests at school no doubt as part of some PhD student's research into grammar schools vs. state comps. The results were...interesting.
Speccy+ with the hard black plastic edging which really dug into the palm of your hands if you used the keyboard for gaming for any long stretch. I had the rubber key 48k and wore out many a keyboard membrane to Daley's games, luckily my Dad could get new membranes and repair the thing (about the only time he's ever done anything useful).
