The Museum tavern is a lovely pub. It's a bit too central and well known to have a strange attraction for bloggers though.

The real place to go was the Halfway House (now sadly a terrible bar called the Green House) on the edge of Sutton Coldfield. It was a pleasant if unremarkable pub. It was the closest pub to my parents from 1996, though I first went there in the late 1980s. Silky, Ronarid & Lazybones were regulars, while Shenguin even had a job there. I am sure there was someone else who frequented it as well. Apart from me knowing Shenguin none of us knew the others. Though there must have been evenings about 2000 when there were 5 or 6 future bloggers all drinking away the abyss.

Alright, we've all had a drink, now calm yourself the fuck down Knausgaard with your autobiographical struggles and dissolute drinking. I think maybe mlu035rsc may have occasionally visited as well.
