Got a copy of Gear Club Unlimited 2 from boomerang games hire place. £3.99 a month. It's ok glad I hadn't bought it. Unsurprisingly there are long loading times and the lack of analogue triggers.
Will send back this week and get something else. Hashtag fickle.
My replacement Bluetooth earbuds are supposed to arrive tomorrow. Not too soon. This cable malarky is murder.

Morning all,
Got stuck into Civ V at the weekend. Haven't ever finished a game on it. Playing domination and it's going ok, I think. Only annexing capitals but that happiness problem is never far away. Have Attila and Bismark to contend with. It will end badly.
Also finished the podcast so will try and get that up today. Stepped a bit out of my comfort zone with the inclusion of the near east and Old Testament. We shall see.

Frosty out there.
I had another play with BL3 and hijacked a car and drove it around to a boss baddy called Mouthpiece, who promptly killed me. May need more than level 4 shotgun for that one. Tried to get back into Apex Legends but it was very "meh".
TV: Kong: Skull Island which was actually OK and surprisingly gruesome, and the new Terminator at the cinema which was also watchable. Started series 2 of The Sopranos.

I watched an episode of South Park last night where Cartman makes a pact with Cthulhu to destroy his enemies. It was pure genius. Apart from that, just the usual unremitting bleakness.

I’m off to japan soon and am woefully behind with my Japanese classes, in that I haven’t taken any Japanese classes except that one about 8 years ago. I plan on taking the switch but not sure if I’ll have the balls to slap it out on the plane. I might look like a nerd.

I'm pretty sure they have a very relaxed door policy. There are exceptions though, they wouldn't take a dog or a Shenguin , for example. Anyone interested in Control? I'm enjoying it quite a lot, its based in the SCP universe and has some cool story. Hard to explain. I've got a voucher to get it for £33.87, which is of no use to me since I already own it.
The guardian said it best - 4 stars.
Also will give you plentiful opportunities to make that 'take back control' joke.

My hideous abomination looks very much like me at a rocky horror bash; that is to say, not entirely dissimilar to Vic Reeves in drag. So much so that I’ve called him Herta, which goes very nicely with the corporate theming. Some of my finest work. Thankfully there doesn’t appear to be a 3rd person option, which is probably for the best. The gameplay is OK as well, and it hasn’t bugged out yet. I like the balanced reputation system.

Keef is taking his sweet time with that COD review. He tweeted that he (and eurogamer) only got his (their) preview code on launch day - so i'd imagine that's why. |
