It's 11.20 in Japan. I got zero sleep on the train.
Looks like I'm going to have to drink cans and cans of coffee to power myself through to an evening in the karaoke bars.
Got a wee boost when I checked the Rangers score when I arrived though.

Games. TD2 mostly. Played a wee bit of Human Detroit and a wee bit of wipeout. When I've not played Wipeout in a while I'm quite hamfisted with the controls.

I'm not sure I like the style of my new glasses. I let my wife choose them*. I now look like a composite of George Smiley, Michael Gove and Harry Palmer.

Games: I managed to play about 5 minutes of that game about the little boy and the big Tico thing. Got a bit stuck, and then was interrupted.

Halfway through the form and the pain behind the eyes is starting to kick in. One of my objectives from last month year has simply been annotated with the comment “very little progress”.
I figure they’ve already given me a payrise and a nice little bonus this year, and appraisals are running late, so this is a great opportunity to set the bar low. It will be interesting to see how my boss responds to this strategy.
In “personal effectiveness” I’m thinking about putting “demonstrably better than both of this year’s PMs”

Luckily when you buy physical media from Jeff, he lets you download the mp3s too.

I am working from today as Sheffield is now a pond. I had a baby scan this morning too, so it made sense. There was also a really aggressive scouse scally hassling people for £2 outside Aldi.
And our roof sprung a leak last night so I was up in the loft placing buckets under drips.

Jeff sent me the reissues of Monster and SFA's Guerilla last weekend.
The LP of Guerilla plays at 45rpm , not 33. It also has a 'hidden' track on side 1. This requires placing the needle on the runout groove and the track then plays from the middle out.
Admirably fiddly. I have recorded it as a FLAC s I can listen to it without cursing.
I am also considering going to see Gruff in Abergavenny on 20 Dec. Abergavenny is pretty much a Southwestern suburb of Brum so far as I recall.
Though last time I saw Gruff he had had a haircut and a beard trim. He was no longer South Wales' premier Lazybones impersonator.
