I stuffed myself so comprehensively at lunch with Mexican food that I have completely skipped dinner.

Evening all!
Games: none
On way back from Wembley, great result will set me up for some more alcohol this evening.
Not that anyone cares, but spurs have a habit of either really underwhelming or smashing it out of the park. A real rollercoaster.
@blackmirror - definitely worth watching, it can be abit predictable in bits but in my opinion only season 4 is weak with some poor episodes 1-3 is pure 4* telly

I bought Fallout 4. Again. Fallout 4 is, in my opinion, a great game. The reason like it is that you can mooch and are not pushed into following the game's plot.

Evening all,
Just finished a curry and a few beers after a busy day of getting the car sorted, shopping and visiting family. Hopefully I can successfully make it down to my sister's without any mishaps tomorrow.
TV - watched the most recent episode of the good place. Currently watching some terrible dubbed western on movies4men. Great stuff.
Gaming - given up on Bravely Default after wasting the best part of 5 hours getting continuously smashed by the cheating penultimate boss. Really can't be arsed investing the time needed to grind enough levels to beat it. Monster Hunter 4 next.

If you ever get the opportunity, you will like Breath of the Wild. I've been mooching all evening. I've also drowned because I tried to climb the Bridge of Hylia. A minor setback.

I really can't be arsed to read all that.
I'm pissed and I'm the City of Lichfield. I feel so metropolitan.

Now you I'm drinking whisky. Also, I had a cigarette. Only one and only a Marlboro Light, but it was still good. Mmmm, happy lungs.

Hello people of New Blogtopia. How are things? Watched a Red Letter Media last night with some classic Cannon films in - Invasion USA and Death Wish 3. I now really want to watch both of them. Went down the beach this morning for an amble, then heading inland for a birthday party. Oh, and baking some more cheese straws. Anyone want to help me defend Alison Brie over at the Other Place? They're being nasty.

Anyone want to help me defend Alison Brie over at the Other Place? They're being nasty. I read the first dozen or so comments on there earlier but stopped as it gave me depression. The two main complaints seemed to be: why are actors entitled to opinions, and why does the Graun publish articles on things I don't like

Successfully made it down to my sister's without the car blowing up on me. Watched a Red Letter Media last night with some classic Cannon films in - Invasion USA and Death Wish 3. I now really want to watch both of them. They're both worth watching, especially after a few drinks with some friends. Hilarious comedy turkey shoots in both. Went to see Death Wish 3 at a cult movies screening a few years ago and it was one of the best cinema experiences that I've had. It is one of the best unintentional comedies I've seen and may have invented the concept of a slight impact leading to a car explosion. Invasion USA is also peak Chuck Norris and just plain bonkers.

Anyone want to help me defend Alison Brie over at the Other Place? They're being nasty. Sorry, saw this too late, now "this discussion is closed for comments". I saw the headline this morning, thought "good for her, but I'm not interested in reading that now". The very first comment wants the Guardian/Observer to stop publishing interviews with film actors because they "are, essentially, attractive puppets". And this got over 100 upvotes! If they start interviewing shop mannequins and crash test dummies instead of real people I will complain. Instead of the Alison Brie interview I read Kermode's review of Three Billboards, and in the comments there someone finds it necessary to call it sub-Coens, while the response starts dumping on the Coen Bros. Is this why we can't have nice things? Or rather, if we get nice things we don't deserve them?

We're doomed as a species. I've come to not only accept that, but actively embrace it. The sooner we're done, the better it will be and the next lot that drag themselves out of the dirt can hopefully learn from our bullshit.
I'm thinking maybe sentient lobsters, though they'd probably struggle with ties.

My daughter just tried to pass a slice of courgette from her stir fry to Mrs Cranks plate. She may have gotten away with it if she hadn't dramatically accompanied the action by singing the imperial death march from Star Wars.
Mrs Cranks folks bought a new freezer for their garage. It's too small for them so we're getting it for ours. Hurrah. There may be room in the house freezer for ice now.
Games. Not many. A wee bit of steep last night.
This evening I shall be imaging my laptop in preparation of a fresh high Sierra install. Total gibberish. 4*

Quick question: Anyone familiar with Thimbleweed Park? Looks like my kind of game and is currently on offer, but I'm worried that my backlog is already so monstrous that it will soon start consuming entire countries.

I enjoyed what I played of it, before my laptop decided it didn't want to live anymore. If you like old school point & click games then it's definitely worth a go

Hi, fellow Chatterbox exiles,
I cooked an M&S Dine In for Two for £10. tonight. Two sirloin steaks, steamed mixed vegetables (with added fries, and onions and mushrooms in a red wine sauce) accompanied by a bottle of passable Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon, and followed by New York cheesecake for dessert.
Good value. 4 stars.
EDIT: Games, none.

I've seen Invasion USA previously, and it is terribly brilliant. I'm going to summon the film nerds and have a watch of Death Wish 3 though - creeps need dealin' with.
