I've jumped further back in time to 1980.
Alf just lost Renee in a car crash and has moved Deidre into the shop flat. If only he knew what a viper he'd invited into his ample bosom.

Not to mention his 'Jekyll and Hyde' mood swings following the head injury he sustained when that lorry smashed into the Rovers. I blame that for his Newcastle 'she was only sixteen' bad behaviour. |
