This country can fuck off. In 5 years when we are even deeper in the shit, it'll no doubt vote for these cunts again because the Labour leader sneezed funny that time, and surely only a Marxist would suggest free medical care.

Corbyn is on the cunt list also. 71 seats? Useless cunt. If he'd really wanted a labour government he'd have stepped down months ago.

Maybe a big majority for May in 2017 would have been for the best. We'd be less fucked.

IMO 2 words viable alternative there is/was none Corbyn and his entire fucking regime are/were poison. They went out of their way to engender division and enmity. You end up with the least worst. Democracy.

Maybe a big majority for May in 2017 would have been for the best. We'd be less fucked. If Yvette Cooper had won in 2015 things would have been different. But that,(and tonight) is in the past let's move on to Labour tearing itself apart for the next few year and the cunt making life terrible for a lot of people who, (maybe?), voted for his party.

I despair. I really fucking do. Corbyn has monumentally failed to take advantage of a Tory party in disarray, and we are gonna have to eat a shit sandwich courtesy of BJ and his demented ego. Jeezus.

Strangely the exit poll makes tonight easier, no false hopes or anything we can move straight on to despair and bitching.

As a home owning, mortgage free, retired 'boxer with a private pension I expect to be sheltered from much of the potential damage capable of being inflicted by a pro-Brexit, EU hating, right wing Boris led Tory government, but I despair for those more vulnerable, less sheltered than me.
Apart from the twats who voted Tory, that is. They deserve everything coming their way.

Agree that Corbyn part of the problem, but it can't be that simple. 2017 he had much of the same baggage but got one of Labour's biggest ever vote shares. What's changed? Either BJ is genuinely popular compared to May (only true up to a point); or the Tories were successful in pinning Brexit delays on Corbyn. If the latter, then don't see how a more pro Remain stance would have helped (though some people are already claiming that was the problem). But he has clearly fucked it and should fuck off.

I should not have staggered my drinking. I'm far too sober. Reluctant as I am to offer drinking advice in these quarters, might I just say that a cheeky bottle of Mateus rose, as a buffer between the aperitifs and the proper boozing is remarkably effective - a bit of fruity spritz - fluid. Also, John Bercow is a cunt.

I'm not sure any Labour leader would have had a clue post referendum. The referendum smashed a big hole in the alliance of working class Northern seats and the big cities. It's a problem that left and progressive parties have faced elsewhere, particularly in the USA and Australia.
