Morning.
Stayed up to watch Independence Day last night so now I'm fucking knackered. It was not worth it.
In other film news, I saw Jojo Rabbit last week and would highly recommend it. Very funny, yet still manages to be very serious when it needs to be. Taika's streak seems to continue (has he even had a duff film yet?).
Games? Nah mate. Unless you count WoW, but I see that more as a second job now.

Games. Nah. TV. Nah. Bdt. Nah.
Sore head, sore throat. Might as well have drank booze.
Also now, my Sunday afternoon/evening at home myself gaming before 10 days at the in-laws has been reigned in. Apparently I'm a prick for possibly being annoyed by this. It's the most wonderful time of the year!

The fulmination btl on the Bradshaw review of Star Wars has really cheered me up. Doubt the fun itself can be more entertaining.

Last proper day of work before the two week doss begins. I intend to eat and drink too much and play all the Janes. Got Hellblade in the sale ready to go, Sekiro ready to butt fcuk me, and a backlog for years. OTTM: Star Wars during the holiday. It will be fine.

I have a lot to sort out on my last day in the office before that bearded fellow commits a series of home invasions.

And yet the review of the film of a TS Eliot poem has far more comments. Many of them regretting that they didn't make a film of The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock instead, I assume.

Morning all!
My visit to camera club was cancelled due to illness at home. So while the boy and my partner both went up to bed, I had the evening to myself, and watch...
Filmblog - The Irishman, in its entirety. Three and a half hours of intensely compelling storytelling. It was really very good. Very, very good. Pesci was the highlight for me. A calm, "good" mafia boss - very far from his old self. Pacino now has an old man lisp, like he's got awkward false teeth - that was slightly distracting. More distracting was the digital de-ageing technology. Faces generally looked okay, but it couldn't alter how an 80-year-old man walks. In summary: watch it. You need the time, but I think it is definitely worth it.
4*.

No games.

Actually I did play a game. Dark souls. Lost 18,000 souls by not paying attention when fighting one of the big lads near the blacksmith in Anor Londo. It had been a few days since I'd played last, so I have no idea where all the souls came from, or why I was in Anor Londo.

Morning - office secret santa has occurred. I have got off fairly lightly this year, with an 18inch high green velour wizard, which from the back looks like a deformed thingy; a 1 litre stein glass, and 2 packets of chilli seeds. Top banana!

Morning, StarWars was good, a strong6/weak7 out of ten.
The whole trilogy would be vastly improved by killing Finn off after Force Awakens.

I'm listening to Dave Brubeck on the cans, while my wife hoovers. I make no apologies for this.

The Witcher isn't getting universally panned (53% on Metacritic, 71% on Rotten Tomatoes)! Been looking forward to it for a while so glad to see it isn't a steaming mess. Could be the weekends TV sorted.

Yeah, seeing De Niro attempt to give someone a kicking was like watching an old person have a seizure - they should've hired younger actors and just digitally replaced the faces, as they're digitally replacing them anyway with the youngifying.

Shall we go and watch Cats tonight? Don't be ridiculous, it's a pile of shite.
That's how we do it in the big leagues, Bradshaw.
