Last time I was in a taxi it was coming back from the vets and my cat pissed on me 10 seconds from my house. (I only checked the taxi seat after I'd hurriedly paid and got up, but it seemed fine.)
That was last week. I omitted it from my festive round up to make my time off seem super totally amazing because, coupled with £400 in vet bills, it would tip the holiday balance from good to shit.
On the plus side, his asthma has been diagnosed and his coughing fits have stopped.

Also it is fair to say that the bit of Brum where I live is not public transport friendly.
It used to be. In the 80's there were 8-10 buses an hour along 2 routes which passed within a mile of here.
Since privatisation that is down to one bus every half hour and one route only .The buses are not reliable in the evenings now either.
There were also regular buses to Sutton and Walsall. These stop about 4 every day now.

Well for all my faults I just cooked this: Bacon – ten on ten, button mushrooms – bingo, minor criticism, more distance between the eggs and the beans. I may want to mix them, but I want that to be my decision. Use a sausage as a breakwater. But I’m nit-picking, on the whole a very good effort, seven on ten, let’s make love. |
