Afternoon box, I am back. One day off sick and this place goes to the dogs.
Ganes: Spent almost all of yesterday on the sofa feeling like crap and playing Horizon Zero Dawn. I am seriously underpowered for the quests I am doing despite being overlevelled. I can kill nothing. I've gone horribly wrong somewhere along the lines and missed weapon / armour upgrades that would make me more damage appropriate for my level and missions. Current mission is kill the giant bird thing, storm something. No chance. He can oneshot me and I can't even tickle him.
OTTM: This is a good example of my sister's financial nous. Her: Can you give us money for new trainers we desperately need. Me: I gave you that at Christmas and you know full well I did as you asked for that explicitly. Her: Oh, did you, where's it gone, roflcopter.
41 years old. She is 41 YEARS OLD. Fuck my family.

Mrs Fark's philosophy with regards to money is that if the following applies:
1) She wants it
2) It has at least some degree of bullshit reduction applied
3) It can be put on her credit card
Then it is purchased. This is without any consideration of money already spent that month, general budgets etc...

Chumbles Have you played Age Of Wonders Planetfall? It is on sale on PSN and I was wondering if it is worth getting? Edit: my comments relate to the PC version ... I've played a couple of hours, and it's complex, competent and gone away from the brilliant, addictive AoW3... If you like Civ IV, were hoping that Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth would be a viable sf/fantasy 4x and were disappointed (that's the only game to make my big rig run slooow), then Age Of Wonders Planetfall might be for you ... I've deinstalled it. If you want a complex beautiful TBS game then AoW3 is it... over 2k hours and rising. |

The priest was ok actually and surprisingly mentioned him going to Cuba after a big win in the golf. Betting that is, the nearest he probably got to playing was stealing balls off the public course behind his house.
