I don't hate Steam. I think it is very good.
But I dislike the practice of selling a physical disc that is just a link to Steam without making that clear.
If I buy a disc that says it is a game I expect the game to be on the disc, not to have to download the entire game to play it.
If publishers don't want to put the game on a disc that is fine, but they shouldn't sell discs in that case.
