So Steve Rose in his Guardian review gave the Sonic films 2 stars. Weirdly enough today I watched a gushing review by Australia's finest contribution to YouTube, meme masters The Laymen Gaming channel. Admittedly one of them was wearing a Sanic outfit in the theatre, so there's that. De gustibus non est disputandum, as scamander would say.
To judge by the amount of comments this feature ahead of Valentine's Day doesn't seem to have had the response the Guardian was hoping for

What's interesting here is the bit about Companionship and Animal Crossing by Holly Nielsen. The same person who reviewed Dragon Quest Builders 2. She's got a lot to answer for.
(Just yesterday I was thinking about differences and similarities of both these games. Clearly DQB took inspiration from AC, but I'm anticipating that DQB elements will pop up in the Animal Crossing New Horizons title that comes out in March. It will be yet another very deep rabbit hole for me to go down.)
And all signs are pointing to the demise of E3 this year. I'm not sure how I feel about this yet, but I won't be missing stuff happening in the middle of the night because of the stupid time zone difference.
