"Football associations in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland have issued new guidelines for children heading the ball." The very first line. Why are you trying to bully Scotland Sheep? Obviously its ok for Welsh kids to heid the ball and may even have benefits. I read the headline under Scottish news. I was trying to be inclusive.

Some good comments on that article.
"Also - that research into child obesity. Total nonsense. If I want to feed my kids Irn Bru bars & teacakes for breakfast then who are these SNP loving snowflakes to tell me any different?"

I'm with Crank on the wired/wireless discussion. My headphones are exactly like his.
Maybe it's because usually I'm not playing competitive twitchy games but I've never noticed any latency issues. I use wired earphones for the 3DS and the Switch on the go, but otherwise I'm sitting too far away from the console to be using wired headphones. So I'm using the Bluetooth sports type earphones that are connected behind the head and have little magnets so that one can put them round the neck when not in use. This way they don't get lost.
They don't get warm and uncomfortable like over-the-ears headphones and I can wear them round the house doing chores and outside whilst listening to podcasts, music, etc. on my phone. They've got a built-in microphone so I can just answer the phone without taking them out. There's no wire to get snagged on things that might pull your device out of your pocket so that it falls on the floor. All I have to do is charge them every night, job done.
I've also observed that they don't break as easily as wired ones. I was going through far too many pairs of earphones before I discovered these.
The best thing is that people don't even realise I'm listening to something more interesting while they are telling me some yadda yadda.
Edit: tl;dr: yadda yadda

Mlu I suspect you are using the wrong technique on the Big Dadddy. A straight stand up fight is not going to end well for you. Running away is your friend. An electric trap will work well. Mostly though you shoot, then run then heal, then shoot again. then heal again, then heal again. You can't have too many of the health things. They get a lot easier once you understand what you are doing and level up a bit. Sound advice, but what do you suggest he does in the video game?

Do you all wear headphones in the house when playing games? Yes just t shirt, pants, slippers and headphones.
I think of them as my Armour.
Have recently upgraded my Slippers from 'Homies' to 'Sorel' (+2 charisma)

I am now officially decrepit; the optician has spoken and old man glasses are now required for reading. A significant milestone, albeit one I can’t actually see if I’m within 4 feet of it.
Chumbles, do you have that gif in large print? Asking for... reasons...

I wear headphones.
However, I have now been told that when kid 1 naps and when upcoming kid 2 naps I have to take them off. Hence I will shortly be purchasing some speakers as my monitor ones are awful.

Do you all wear headphones in the house when playing games? Depends. If I'm not fussed about hearing things in proper surround sound, then no, just use my main av setup which although can do 7.2, isn't set up properly for it (for some reason the PS4 > TV > AMP over arc loses the sound encoding but TV > AMP works just fine). If I am on chat in these kind of games just use the standard in earbud to chat to my mate. If I'm playing a game that demands surround (or late at night and don't want to piss the neighbours off too much) will use my virtual surround sony headset pro but it's uncomfortable for long periods especially when wearing glasses).

I never wear headphones because I'm not a console scrub* and do not need to use a "television" to play games.
Also we have more than one room.
*I am.

Hence I will shortly be purchasing some speakers as my monitor ones are awful. My Mammal also said that, The reason that I am required to wear headphones is because the baby was sleeping and games were too noisy and the reason I am not allowed to wear headphones is because the baby is sleeping and I need to be able to hear it if it wakes up because Mammal is sleeping with her earplugs in.

Hence I will shortly be purchasing some speakers as my monitor ones are awful. This is where earphones are more practical for me as well. If I actually need to pay attention to my surroundings or communicate while I'm playing games I simply take the plug out of one ear and leave the other in. At the same time I'm still not bothering anyone with game sounds. Win-win.

I use earphones only for onlne chat.
Surround sound speakers is the way to go for games. I did have a drunk Shenguin blasting out of my centre speaker briefly last night. It is odd to hear people talking through your TV set/speakers.

Do you all wear headphones in the house when playing games? I have an audio set-up on my rigs that headphones don't touch (I have a pair of beautiful Sennheiser wireless for guests watching the LG OLED curved 55" screen, but they prefer the audio from my Mission Aero.) I spent a load of dosh prior to all the health rubbish.. Both PCs have Asus Xonar D2X cards; a bastard to setup but once you've got it right they are brilliant. The Essence and the D2 7.1 ultra high fidelity have taken over at about £90... don't buy refurbished shit. Downstream is a high-quality switch that plugs into a Denon CEOL N9 ca £350... No regrets indeed; 4 years old, never a problem, true, pure sound output to a pair of Mission LX-2 Bookshelf Speakers... £198 on special offer years back. Top audio boasting 4* After my ex disappeared with loadsa money I swore I would only buy the best. A policy that's saved me money. cobblers If you're tired your eyes won't function as well. I use the accessibility stuff, cranking up browser stuff, larger cursor but above all have the screen in dark mode. If all else fails put on the red cap and nap for 30m...

You could get bone induction headphones. That way it's not coming out the TV/amp and you can still hear children crying/choking on grapes.
