Merry Christmas one and all.
I’ve been reading SPQR, and the Romans would rely on the priests of the temple of Jupiter to adjust the calendar to match the seasons.
Just saying.

I'm a bit like that with online shooters, I adjust the level of cheaters, lag, broken game engine etc...in response to how well I am doing.

Broken game engine is a new one for me. I have been known to shout the phrase 'fucking Aim botting cunts' whilst playing shooty bang games though.

I think my life might have a broken game engine. your face certainly has. Won a charity quiz last night, well, technically the team I was hosting won a charity quiz, but given that left unaided they’d have got 2/20 on the culture round and in the tie breaker initially guessed the height of the Shard at over half a km, I feel pretty comfortable in claiming that one. I also maintain that there are more chickens in this country than there are wrens. Who’s even seen a wren recently? On the other hand I’ve got a chicken in my fridge. Loads of the buggers about, supermarket is full of them.

Tids: Look, he's there, THERE!. *touches nose of big fat bastard who is duffing Tids up badly* Bot: I'll just stand here for a bit.

Broken game engine is a new one for me. Ah, you must never have read SirGig in his prime. He had some deep misgivings over the CoD engine.

My brain is fuzzy, it must have been the scotch egg I ate and nothing to do with all the alcohols.

Some time today a couple returning to the UK from Kathmandu* via Bangkok are being tested at my local hospital - they live a few miles from me. The hospital is under 2 miles away and my next door neighbours work there... *I can never hear that without thinking of ... *

Turns out Cold Blow Lane is named for a reason. Who would have guessed? Not me certainly.
Also I am furious Coward's Way was open at the end of the game. I wanted to be held in the cold for 40 minutes while the Millwall fans dispersed. Uncomfortable, yet safe and I have something to grumble about. Instead I was forced to walk straight to the station and mingle with the great unwashed. Obviously the Met & BTP were on the station in large numbers. Worst of all everything was quiet yet reasonably friendly. No riot police, no fighting, not even any threatening behaviour. I didn't even have to cough weakly at any cockneys to warn them off.
Also the game was 0-0. And not very good. We had one shot on target, but it was ruled out for a push. They had more, but not good one mostly. It was not a classic.
The most interesting thing was the racism protocol. I hadn't seen it before. Apparently it was just one bad Millwall fan (but one is one too many). There were a lot of adverts on the screen afterwards saying racism is unacceptable, telling me to start all messages with hate and to report anything I didn't like. The whole of south London will be getting a visit from the Met today.

Who's had to tell their boss she put the wrong URL on some signage that she's showing off in a meeting? Just me? Cool, cool.

Good morning.
Gamesblog - I built a farm! And all thanks to putting a paddock in. Which I only built because I grabbed some cows from an explorer's shores island.* I've also put a lot more grass and wooded areas about. The Isle of Awakening is beginning to look a lot greener.
TVblog - The Expanse! Yes!
OTTM - another day off courtesy of childcare issues. I've dropped the boy to nursery, and have also been for a rug-rethink. Now time to record some narration.
*its seems as though there's a limit on the number of humans you can bring back at a time. I've managed to bring back multiple animals, but humans seem to be limited to one individual.

How do you feel now, hmm! (nice 'win' though)! yes, aren't I! [............] (insert words such as, pointless, pedantic etc)

I don't think I have coronavirus*, but I am taking up coughing weakly at anyone I wish to get rid of/scare. If I do have it the joke is still on them.
* I am still coughing a tiny bit more than normal from the cough I had in January. You'd barely notice it if you weren't paranoid about dying from a pandemic of mild cough.
