Afternoon So at 6'0 I appear to be distinctly mid-table height-wise.... unlike the local footy team, where 6-0 against seems to be about the average score this season. So, these games then... recent chat on here has given me a minor pump for DQB2. I'm still in Rimworld, but enjoying the building side more than the survival / escape part and am wondering if I should take the plunge. 50 squid on Steam though... is it that good? Is is far cheaper on other platforms? Do I stick it on a wishlist and wait for a sale, or a random inebriated purchase? Decisions indeed... Drunk purchase best purchase. |

At last finished my last AoW3 game - it went on so long I kept changing the avatars - started a new one ...
btw You may recall the podiatrist fiasco ... Well I rang to check all was in order for tomorrow. This was arranged over the phone and confirmed. NB This is 4 weeks since they fucked up the regular visit = 4 weeks overdue. It involves getting the Nurseys to come after the Podiatrist visit...
Someone decided that same bloody day last week to postpone it to the following week... they sent a 2nd class letter on the 21st... that letter gets put on an internal van and delivered to the local admin centre who post it 2nd class on the Monday - not much of a surprise that it hasn't arrived ... "Oh, someone should have rung you." "Lady, in 5 years no-one has EVER rung me." Just one example of a wasted 4 hours trying to sort out just one bit of NHS fuck ups
My local surgery now has 3 complaints from me and I am currently awaited 4 call-backs regarding prescriptions and referrals, 2 from Vascular for an Ablation, 1 from Gastro ref a Dilatation, 1 from Microbiology for 'urgent' test results... I am so tired of explaining all this.
The reason I pay for some stuff is because I need it NOW not in 5-6 weeks time

I'm off* to India to get my legs lengthened before the next 'box meet up :S
One feature I would like fixing (purely cosmetic reasons, as medically it's way down the list of things that aren't right) is my nose. I hate it. But I'm not going to get it sorted. Hasn't hindered me in any way so must be my neurosis rather than it actually being hideous.
Video games: None. Couldn't muster the energy to play anything last night so just watched youtube.
TV: New series of Altered Carbon tonight on Netflix.
OTTM: Almost the weekend. As I had a couple of beers last night I'm trying to be good tonight but have to get petrol and Sainsbury's is just across the road from the fuel stop. And I am hungry. And want a beer. Work is definitely causing me stress.
*I'm definitely not. Having heard the blood curdling screams of a young girl having her bones separated as they knitted back together following a leg lengthening op, I can safely say it's not something I would wish on anyone but my worst enemies. Quite distracting, especially as we were supposed to be doing a rehab class in the hospital gym at the time. Hope her legs are now the same length and she never has to go through that again.

I was going to bore on about spilling stuff, breaking glasses, spilling more stuff, difficulties of steam cleaning with bandaged feet and vertigo, 1.5h of exhausting efforts - too tired.
I have blue grey eyes and two to ten silver grey hairs arranged in a skimpy tonsure.

Speaking of DQB2, while I was looking for a bargain for gongfarmer I noticed that one of the Kotaku writers had changed his mind re: Game of the Year 2019 after playing it kotaku.com/wait-i-played-dragon-quest-builders-ii-and-need-to-cha-1840903740It really is a lovely game, but, as he points out, quite a large one, so I think it went it a bit under the radar on people's GOTY lists. Anyway, back to building. The view from my clock tower (under construction) is already magnificent. |
