TV. No.
Games. Call of Duty Battle Royale.
Who's the Daddy of the Gulag B wing? That will be me. Good fun.
Today is my Friday and I'll be working from the office. We had snow. But it's all slush now.

Can confirm the bit about the bomb. It also says so in my Guardian profile and I've always been a bit nervous that FRANK might object, but it's been like that for many years now.
Games: DQB2, can't talk about what I did exactly except that I bought the "season pass", i.e. a couple of extensions, afterwards. (There's also some free dlc with a few Japanese New Year items that I hadn't seen before.)
The game has lasted me so long and there's now still more stuff to do even without DLC, so I'm a bit worried where I'll be when Animal Crossing comes out in a few days as that will consume my gaming hours certainly for at least the next year.
Now that Covid-19 has been declared a pandemic, the release of AC New Horizons couldn't be timelier. Live in-game, meet in-game... it's perfect! The only downside is that one possibly lives a bit too close to all kinds of animals, including anteaters... but not pangolins specifically. No bats either.

TV: Coogan's Bluff. 4*
The Lad: Is full of the brown stuff. Knocked on my door twice last night.
Knock1: 'You haven't got a spare rolly have you Mr Tids? It's just that I'm about to go and spend the night at my Mum's place and I need a ciggy'.
Knock2 (30 mins later):- Lad: 'Mr Tids, please could you fill up this lighter for me and if you'd be good enough to lend me a bit more tobacco?' Tids: 'Look, they sell tobacco at the shop over the road. Also, I thought you'd gone to your Mum's place.' Lad: 'Well, my brother's just turned up and we've got weed but no baccy. I'm on Universal Credit and I don't get paid until Saturday'. Tids: 'This is the last time'.
*plans murder*

Good morning! I am amazed to learn that Trump has banned travel to the US from all European countries apart from those where he owns property. Astonishing. Never would have thought he’d do something like that.
No games. Opening the second bottle of wine was, on reflection, an outstanding idea. The fact that there’s half of it left means reduced labour tonight.

Hi. Games? No. Downloading that free CoD thing though. Never played one before.
Telly? Finished Goliath s2. It is awful. It has a stellar cast, it's expensively shot, stylish locations, but it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, it's full of pointless death and torture scenes that make no contribution to the story and in fact often contradict it, and it's generally clear that the writers just smashed a skip full of magic mushrooms and knocked out a first draft of loosely connected shock scenes in a week or two, and nobody could be arsed having a fucking word with them about it. It's like Saw VII shot as if it was The Sopranos. Fucking nonsense. 4 stars.
Then I tried a couple of episodes of Ozark s2, having forgotten that I hated s1. Even if you ignore the fact that it has the same premise as Breaking Bad, it is just a humourless, charmless, gratuitous, gruesome pastiche of a dozen other shows, shot through with unbelievable levels of self importance and phony air of significance (yes that's right, LIKE MY FACE). Despicable. 4 stars.
Almost all of these big budget Amazon and Netflix shows I've seen recently shove the signifiers of quality telly down your throat, but underneath they are mostly incoherent, voyeuristic tripe. I am furious with myself for falling for it.
(Except the ones I like, they are good).
Finally, I watched Kojak on ITV4 and Bergerac on Drama. You guys should check those out, they are great. 4 stars.
Ottm? No.

I'm bunged up, have a sore throat and a few aches and pains. I expect I will be dead by nightfall.
No games. COD downloaded but Mrs Fark is on my case about catching up with jobs. Jokes on her when I drop dead.

Morning all! After yesterday's trial-run of WFH, lo and behold, I'm working from home again! Purely as a precaution, you understand. Gamesblog - none! TVblog - TNG, The Perfect Mate. Professor X and Jean Grey met way before X Men... or way after, I'm not sure. Camerablog - prints mounted, titled, and run-over to my mate's. OTTM - MrTiddles, The Lad clearly needs cutting off from any further supplies.

Games no Wine no Beer no OTTM yes
I had a very nice posh Caol Ila while listening to Bach and reading the new Mantel Piece. Caol Ila is definitely underrated as an Islay whisky. It is not quite as forward on the palate as Laphroaig, yet still has that distinctly medicinal taste. You can tell it is doing you good. The Bach was ok. I was absorbed reading and didn't pay much attention to it
I like the Mirror and The Light,. Mantel has a writing style that makes for easy reading. Which is fortunate in a 900 page wrist smasher.

I was pretty certain someone would make a fireplace comment about my use of 'Mantel Piece' You've actually done quite well to avoid that.

This also reminds me of an interview with Rio Ferdinand a couple of years ago after a big ManU win, where he said that it was important that the players kept working hard and didn't rest on their mantelpieces.

I'm meant to be going to Copenhagen today, but I'm reading that most bars and restaurants will be shut. Burger. You wouldn't be able to afford to get pissed in Denmark anyway. Prices are ridiculous. MaccyD's is about all that is affordable.

I'm meant to be going to Copenhagen today, but I'm reading that most bars and restaurants will be shut. Bugger. Sheep is right. When we went last year we were buying value bread and cheese from newsagents to avoid having to remortgage the house. You can buy Special Brew to go with it, though, and the street corners you'll be sitting on are admirably clean.

Morning
Just purchased a sarnie and bag of crisps from a local vendor. Standing at till, took out £5 note, dutifully waved it against the contactless cashpoint a couple of times, was about to complain the terminal was out of service when I realised what I was doing, handed fiver to vendor who was watching with an expression of mixed bemusement and pity. Tell me i'm not the first person to do this....
