The other place's advice: "How do I cope with the boredom? First of all, try to maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating well, drinking enough water, and exercising regularly. Try to avoid smoking and drinking alcohol." Luckily I got cheery emails from the CEO of my wine club and my wine advisor, reassuring me that they are here for me and all my self-isolation needs. Here's the CEO: And here's my wine advisor: Glad to see that at least someone got their priorities right.

For those of you with a liking for Steve McQueen, or indeed, those learning to drive. May I recommend BBC4 @ 9pm.*
* I've never seen it before, but 'Fat Tony' say's it's good, and you don't wanna disappoint him..

The chat is giving me mild Far Cry 5 pump. Why did it get such lukewarm reviews? I liked FC3 when that came out. £12.99 on sale on psn

Think that biased reviewers a bit too. I’m enjoying it though. Just need to take down the first lieutenant and get the second holster so I can get 4 weapons on the go. Bow, silenced machine gun, grenade launcher and I’m thinking shovel launcher.

Oh I wasn't worried as such. Mildly interested at most.

I've never ordered from Ocado I just like the numbers, It's tenthenemy you need to worry about. I had a delivery this afternoon. Earlier I got a message that my order "has a high number of missing items or substitutions" and that I should log on to their website to see what these were. So I joined the virtual queue of over 18,000 people with a waiting time of "over 2 hours". There was a note saying that there were no delivery slots available for the next days and that one should only log on to edit existing deliveries. I let it pickle until I was number 8,994 in a queue that had meanwhile grown to 23,000 and then left as the delivery would arrive before I found out online what's actually in it. I was basically prepared to take whatever scraps they would bring me, but it turned out that most of what I had ordered was there or had a perfectly fine substitution and that the few items that were missing weren't at all important. I have another delivery scheduled for Monday, after that I might have to begin foraging in the local Co-op. What makes me laugh is re-reading this article, only four days old: www.theguardian.com/food/2020/mar/14/online-grocery-shopping-coronavirusThis bat flu kills everything, even online grocery shopping.

So, from tomorrow we'll have both daughters working from home and Boris about to close all the pubs in London. (Presumably the Commons bar will be excluded 'for operational reasons' though of course "We're all in this together")
Thanks a lot coronavirus.

From Twitter and the other place:
"Touch of class from former footballer Gary Neville.
He co owns a couple of hotels that will close but says
- No redundancies.
- Staff will still be paid.
- Beds will be given to NHS staff."

Rocked up at the local Tesco this evening, unless you're after ice cream or hair dye it's no use. Even the booze aisle was decimated. At least the local offy is well stocked, I may be making several visits tomorrow.

It's good that 90% of the booze was left, no? <edit>Pedantic and pointless. A law firm or my middle names?

Speaking, like tenthenemy and others who are entirely dependent on a weekly delivery of stuff which is short of things like toilet roll, I'm entirely in favour of restricting hours of supermarkets to stock up... it's about 4 a.m. that the day's home deliveries get collected so hopefully I will get some toilet rolls next week... If it's booze just order stuff online, but order now! Quite a few showing short or out of stock for beers although all stuff is potentially longer delivery times. If you're not a connossewer then this is listed as £16...
