Might I be the first to say that I am absolutely done with 'heartwarming'. All of it. Just stop it.

Had to arrange an electrician to come visit as the kettle plug is stuck in the socket. The old kettle neutral plug looks like it's oxidised / burnt so socket needs replaced. Hopefully that's all it is. Are you allowed to ask to see his Covid19 negative status papers?

Rolling
It's from films
A is the main product of a studio B is an indie film or secondary film AAA is a film they stick more resources and all the stars in. It's just fallen out of favour in films for 'blocjbuster' or Marvel Comics extended universe or a Michael Bay film.
I don't know why it has taken off in games. I do know it just referred to game like GTA4 and COD and Halo to start with, but it now means any game by a big studio.

So she waited until it was out of stock to tell you she hadn't ordered it. That's a strong powerplay. You have been played, unlike the game.

You could get a download code for it? I presume Tent Hen has gone for some super-duper version with a plushy or some such.

Might I be the first to say that I am absolutely done with 'heartwarming'. All of it. Just stop it. Much more to my taste: "The sunshine outside my lodgings doth mock me in mine isolation, the spring buds opening beneath my window as stealthily as the pox. My only consolation is that I am not able to visit my mother, a vulgar muck-spout with no more delicacy than a fence post." @pepys_Diaries currently bringing 'pox watch' to Twitter.

You could get a download code for it? Of course I could just download it any time (although I will be animal cross that I couldn't take advantage of the digital pre-order discount). It's just that it's very likely that she has ordered it and had some form of communication about it from Jeff, whether that is that it's been delayed or cancelled altogether. She just hasn't been paying attention as she doesn't grasp the urgency. Sigh. Moral of the story: never ask relatives for games you actually want. Although then they give you games as presents you don't want. My copies of Mensa Academy, Dr Kawashima's Brain Training, Cooking Guide and a Harry Potter game for the DS* can attest to this. There was a time when I was young and delusional enough to think that I'm easy to buy for by the people who know me best. So, actually, never ask relatives for games. The money is worth saving you from disappointment. *I couldn't even get through the tutorial of that one. It's as awful as you expect and then 20 times worse.

Morning Everyone. The fear of Coronavirus is apparently not a reason to not do the gardening. This seems unfair. Gah.

Animal Crossing does not look like my cup of tea.
However,
If I understand it correctly, I could visit other people's islands and cause destruction?
Something to think about.

There's an interview with Hitchcock on. I had forgotten how funny the old pervert was. He regarded his films as mostly comedy.

I have consoled my Nookless self by playing more DQB2 where I have now fulfilled all tablet targets except for one really easy one, so I'm going fully completionist on that one today. I still haven't scratched more than the surface of the surface of the DLC, so there's still plenty to do.
The post-endgame wreaks havoc on the inventory system so I'm still organising things. Part of this process is getting every item for the Builderpedia. So I've been doing a lot of cooking to complete all the recipes, and for that I needed to work with casks, something I had neglected so far.
So I finally gave my residents what they really wanted: a pub. There they could get sloshed every night until the early hours of the morning. I built it in a prime location, upstairs of my shop, with a staircase at the back. Now, I know that my residents aren't the brightest, but even so their stupidity did surprise me. Instead of taking the stairs they were crowding into one corner of the bar in the direction of all the other facilities, complaining that they needed the loo but unable to leave, until they fell back into their seats exhausted and carried on drinking.
Watching their plight was quite amusing, but I am a benevolent goddess. I cancelled the staircase at the back and added a door with stairs leading up to it in that corner, and since then they have been blissfully taking turns pooping and drinking. A happy little utopia.

So it seems my beef should be with the battery classification lads rather than the gaming community.

Just had a cycle round town. The only places that are open are one of the tartan shite shops, courtesy of the gold bros ( a single family that have single handedly ruined the city centre with their made in China cheap fake Scottish goods empire, they have about 30 shops all under different names) and warhammer/ games workshop, open and full of nerds all gathered closely round a table rolling dice. I expected they might have been asked to close by hq or at least be counter retail only.

Another song for the list.
Incidentally for anyone who isn't aware Elvis up to Blood And Chocolate (1986), is superb, apart from Goodbye Cruel World.
I'd particularly recommend King Of America, My Aim is True and Armed Forces.

The nursery is closing. Kill. Me. Now.
I watched the Adam Sandler movie on Netflix, Uncut Gems, it was surprisingly good.
I have also been ripping out carpet. Not a euphemism.
No games.
Oh and I drank the last of the booze last night.
