Good lord, Mountain Blade 2 is out! And I don't have a top-spec PC with Office 365, double GPU, sandblaster, integrated memory and 9TB of ROM so I can't play it. Thats bad bananas right there.
Games! Animal crossing. TB. Also some TFT, where I came third. TB.
OTTM - Terrible vastard of a headache last night, kept me up till the wee hours. Bad business. Anyone know any home rescue remedies for the brain? Pint of cat piss?

Last night I went out for my evening walk and cigarette and stood outside the pub for a minute or two, just for old times sake.

Staying indoors in a quite small tenement flat with partner and 2 children for 3 weeks is a struggle that I dont think God intended for the likes of me. It feels like its been 4 years already.

Morning all. I see Shenguin is the first to go full Smeagol. Ganes: spot of Control and Life is Strange 2. Telly: started Peaky Blinders for turbo trainer viewing. Not sure about Cilian Murphy's accent, but Birmingham looks magnificent. Then watched about 20 episodes of Veep. Ottm: I now know 3 people who have probably had the virus. The Garrison pub is almost outside the Blues ground. It is an absolute dump though (And closed down). It was nowhere near as nice as the pub on TV. It was proper shabby. Too dilapidated even to be properly rough. I once had to disabuse a Derby fan who wanted to see it. He was very disappointed by it. Particularly as we had just beaten Derby. I did say if wanted to get beaten up he needed to go the Roost* or The George * which is now ruined. The landlord put up a Coventry mural to attract their supporters. The people I know who used to drink there were boycotting it in disgust. They were properly furious about being nice to Coventry fans. The accents are variable. One of the young lads has a proper Brummie accent. I love Arthur even though his accent wanders a lot. As for Cillian I am a big fan. The accent is not right but the eyes and cheekbones make up for a lot. I watched 28 Days Later again (just before the coronavirus broke out). He is fantastic in that as well. He seems a decent person as well.

Zoom or PS4 with some mates. It will help lift the tension. Particularly if you get ratted while doing it. I'm sure if anyone is really struggling we could sort something out. It's also worth checking to see what football clubs are up to. There's a lot of stuff going on which is pretty good. Quizzes, YouTube events etc. Anything to avoid the abyss.

I don't know how much more of this I can take. I just want to leave the fuckin' house. You are allowed to go shopping for essentials/beers run and go to the park for exercise/a quiet place to drink beer with fresh air. But that means being around people, numpties who think it's fine to cough into their hand according to 'guidelines' and then ignore that their have done this and start to pick up items in the store and put them back. It's safer at home, just order online.

Drama in the Babyfark household when 3 delivery slots from Sainsbury's became available and we hotly debated which to go for and what we urgently needed before refreshing the page and all 3 had gone.
Minestrone soup for lunch.

Most of Peaky Blinders is filmed in Liverpool as Birmingham is now too gentrified to look rough. The accents make it tough for me to watch. Cillian is pretty though, and Tom Hardy always worth watching. I'm halfway through series two and keep meaning to go back. If I can secure some beers for Easter weekend and FFVII remake doesn't arrive no doubt I'll chain it then. Watched Rocketman at the weekend, it was enjoyable. Although why they thought to make out Elton picked John as the surname because of a picture of the Beatles with the implication it was after John Lennon I've no idea. As a filthy Elton casual (I only know the really famous songs) I found it extremely informative, although he stayed particularly thin throughout. My one abiding childhood tabloid memory of EJ was The Scum (iirc) running a story saying he'd almost run out of money and was down to his last £100m. No idea when that was. I do know he can't half write / play / perform. Absolute genius.

I'm not sure why people are wearing gloves out and about or the face masks. Gloves are likely to keep things on them and make people less likely to notice what they have touched or wash their hands. None of the masks look to be for stopping viral particles getting through and those wearing them were out and about so shouldn't be infected. The masks aren't worn correctly or people have beards so they are ineffective. Also it means people are more likely to touch their face meaning more infections?

if you're *having* to go out the masks might make you feel better about being outside. So more mental than physical health.

Hello. I whacked a buff scarf over my face when I went to the grocers and little Tesco earlier as I figure that if I’m an asymptotic bat-aids carrier it might restrict said bat-aids to a smaller area. If 2m is good, 2m plus a couple of layers of polyester microfibre is probably better.
It’s also a key part of my post-apocalyptic-raider look: big boots, leather biker jacket, scruffy hoody, face mask, bad hair, party hat.
On the plus side! Bog roll!
On the down side I’m still preposterously busy. I haven’t even restarted fallout 3 yet, apart from the cosplaying aspects of all this, obviously.

I've found walking around with my hands in my pockets to be in extremely effective method of reducing face-touching - either my own, or others.

Come to think of it, I’ve got a New California Republic t-shirt kicking about somewhere. Ideal.
It’s got Obsidian and Havok and stuff listed in the back, as though it’s a tour t-shirt. It’s by far the single nerdiest thing I own. I fully expect to be refused entry back into to the house if I ever go out wearing it.

Minestrone soup for lunch. Rookie mistake. If you see a delivery slot just go for it. I mean, you are going to be at home anyway, so what difference does it make? In other news, someone was shouting and cussing at the top of their lungs in the street just now. Even with windows closed I was able to hear it in an upstairs room on the other side of the house. I thought it was a man and could just make out "Jesus F*cking Christ", while Pref. Mam. who was in a room nearer to the action said it was a woman's voice and he thought she also said "put on the f*cking gloves". He didn't think it was one of the neighbours. Looked out of the window but couldn't see anyone. Pref. Mam. said I shouldn't worry about it. I told him that if one of the neighbours is going stir crazy I'd sure like to know about it.

That's a bit like saying you're not sure why people binge drink, as it doesn't address the root cause of their problems, and can sometimes make things worse. Psychomalogical innit.

Perf.Mam is WFH. She gets prime position in the home office and I’m reduced to the Kitchen table.
But I’m the one who has access to the coffee.
I’ve put a tape down the middle of the house, marked out a DMZ around the toilet (bloody human rites innit) and set up a sentry gun.
If I thought my neighbours would pay any attention to my screaming I’d be less incoherent.
I came this close to buying Animal Crossing just now. Pay day tomorrow.

Report from the Tent Hen Isolation Pod: Supplies low, morale good. Out of apples since yesterday, had the last banana today. Told Pref. Mam. that "minimalistic breakfast" is the latest foodie trend. Rationing and preserving our last slices of tasteless but long life bread after suffering a major blow on Sunday when last three slices of superior bakery goods were discovered to have developed mould.
On Saturday morning the milk delivery was late and there wasn't quite enough for my cereal, so I opened a hazelnut milk carton, unsweetened and "with sea salt" that came free or at a reduced price many moons ago with something else and had been lingering in my fridge since then. It works although it tastes like water with a bit of hazelnut ground into it. Whatever happens, I can't see myself going vegan any time soon.
Could have done without having an hour removed from my sleeping schedule, but at least we now have an hour longer to sit outside pubs and restaurants and enjoy a meal and a drink in the company of friends. Oh wait.
Took some time out from my Animal Crossing island where the fruit trees are full of apples to join another Social Distancing Live Stream where we played Octodad: Dadliest Catch. All the fish puns to lift your mood.
Towards the end of the stream I got a message from Ocado telling me that I will now have priority access for editing the existing delivery on Wednesday night. Reassuring. I'm looking forward to entering the land of plenty once more.
Animal Crossing: Good for you, Crank. Fortunately progress in this one is very swift. Yesterday I got the museum which is just phenomenal, though I wonder whether the art gallery is going to return. I guess it will at one point, as soon as Redd gets wind of the opportunity to scam the island folks out of their savings. I have also just paid off my first mortgage. Like in New Leaf I really need to thin out the trees, although I like to wait for the Nook Miles prompt for chopping them down.
Be aware that in the Northern hemisphere a number of critters and fish will vanish at the end of March and you will have to wait (or time travel) for some months for them to reappear. There's online advice on this.
This new 24/7 mode is terrible, though. In the old AC games there was nothing much you could do at 4 a.m. because the shop was long closed. Here in this game you can just keep on going, always doing the "one more thing" until the sun comes up.
It's just what we need right now.
