So, what about this Spiderman game then, eh? PEGI rating too high? Suitable for 12y-o?

I'm watching something called 'The Platform' on Netflix. It's making me hungry. Four stars.

So, what about this Spiderman game then, eh? PEGI rating too high? Suitable for 12y-o? gameplay is probably fine for a 12yo I would say. Plenty of violence but it's cartoony and it's implied spidey doesn't actually kill any of the bad guys, because superhero. However. (SPOILERS) Some of the story cutscenes contain bad murder, there's also terrorism, civil disorder and a deadly virus. As a heads up there's also parental death scene, which might be a bit much given the circumstances.

Morning.
In a vain attempt to keep 'connected', my office has asked us to enable our webcams, so we can see each other during interminable conference calls. I have spent the last hour setting up a remote webcam in the dogs basket. This may or may not earn me a bollocking.
Games! DQB2..... am back on the Isle of Awakening, and have started work on my pyramid. Chess!..... the tournament is dragging on, not helped by the fact we are now playing via 'Lichess' instead of face2face. I am however now in the final! Best of 3 matches.. currently 1-0 down.

I played a lot of violent video games in my childhood - Yie Ar Kung Fu, Way of the Exploding Fist, Commando, Horace and the Spiders. It's a miracle I'm such a well adjusted and mature adult.

3D Ant Attack taught me valuable life lessons. Ants don't like being grenaded, for example.
I should've been a pest controller, instead of a being bum, which is what I am. *sighs*

I'm about to venture into the wilds of Plymouth City centre. I'm not looking forward to it, at all. I wonder how shoplifters are coping in these times? lazybones How are you coping in these times?

Morning citizens.
I got out for a walk yesterday evening for my AET (allotted exercise time). A nice forty-minute traipse across the Tye and back home via the cliff top. Beautiful evening.
Gamesblog - I did it! I built Ordelia her own room to her exact (stupendous) specification! I didn't want to knock anything down, so burrowed deep underground. Heck, she'll feel at home down there.
TVblog - 30 Rock, just what is needed at a time like this. Silly fun. It was then a toss-up between more TNG or Lost in Space. I went with the former.
Amigablog - I got a particularly challenging game working, though not exactly how I wanted it to. Further tweaks required.

I used to watch Horace get run over repeatedly for hours. Not deliberately you understand. I loved the little guy. He taught me all I know about crossing roads safely.

I am catching up on the re-screening of the 1991 cup final on iPlayer. It is proper football - horrendous barnets, howling wind, brutal tackles and no completed passes. 7 goals though iirc. Had forgotten Duncan Ferguson played in it.

Rolling
Scottish Cup? I will watch it later. We didn't used to get the Scottish cup final in England. It makes it better as I don't remember the game even vaguely.
I'm sure the English FA Cup Final was Spurs 2-1 Forest and Gazza did his knee in the opening minutes. I do not need to look it up.

Yes - it;s on the BBC Scotland channel (can be found on iplayer by looking for the channel, then the schedule for Sunday just gone). In those days the Scottish final and the FA cup final were at the same time so they showed us the highlights of the Gazza knee final afterwards. There are a lot of good players in the one I'm watching, including Davie Cooper (who Ruud Gullit apparently picked in his all-time XI), and Tom Boyd (who went on to score the winner for Brazil in a World Cup match) but it's not exactly tiki-taka. Partly because of the wind, partly because it was Scottish football in 1991. Jim McInally's haircut is a particular highlight.

I grew up with terrible football. Particularly 1985-1991. We slid from the top flight to 12th in Division 3 (having been 18th in March 1991) 3/4 empty (on a good day) crumbling ground, terrible players, worse pitch. Fortunately our fans made up for it by fighting every week.
