And I am back in the room! I'm not closing this tab down, but don't expect much from me* today as I am even busier than normal as I try to sort out wtf and why tf my surgery (in "special measures") has decided to send my items that I haven't ordered, some of which haven't been in my so-called care plan for over a year, and not sent one item that has been on my care plan and essential for 18 months. The Peninsula Parkers have sneaked their vehicles into position for 'let's fuck up the neighbours day' in time for Nursey to have to walk an extra couple of hundred yards, in mask, past the buffoons from Carroll's Roofing (Covid-19 transmissions a speciality). Not that Nursey and colleagues are blameless, as they have failed to turn up with needed supplies for 10 days... berween the surgery, chemist and nurses foibles, I've now spent my OAP for this month getting medical supplies for the next fortnight... I'm not made of money...  *I know, you never do ... Later... |

I miss my 3.5 hours combined daily commute to work. I miss strangers, I miss the smell of food I never eat. I miss walking passed beggars and worrying if they are going to launch forward at my feet. I miss the Metro.

Morning all.
Decided to shorten my fringe a few days back as it was becoming a pain, which after a day in the sun on Sunday has resulted in an inch wide sunburn across my forehead. Need to avoid anyone taking my temperature for a few days now!
No times for games. Was reminiscing about this time last year, when I was halfway out across the Elite galaxy on DW2, coping with the sense of isolation, and ever present threat of what could happen if I wasn't extra vigilant at all times, as well as the moments panic on the rare occasions that I ever met another human out in the vast emptiness that this could be the one that ended it for me. There are times nowadays that evoke strangely familiar feelings.

My neighbours upstairs disappeared exactly 2 weeks ago, in a hurry* (as evidenced by them leaving the kitchen window wide open and my expert surveillance team). No idea why, probably to travel back to the continent while they still could.
*This had nothing to do with me, I never done nuffink guv, honest.
OTTDM: I found one of Mrs Tids flower pots knocked over this morning. Seagulls or 'The Lad'? Hmmnn...

Shaved all the hair off last night, couldn't find my clipper attachments, so ended up going full lockdown and grade zero all over. Don't think I missed any bits. Forgot how liberating it feels not having hair. Four stars.
Ganes: More FFVII remake. I am in a reactor and lost. I bloody love this game though. Four stars.

My FF7 is still not here. Hasnt even been dispatched.
I am very near to completing RE3 on standard. Really good game, kinda short but replayable. I may be in the minority that prefers Nemesis is not like Mr X. RE 2 remake is the better game but 2 was better than 3. No Operstion Mad Jackel though, I loved that mode.

Swapped the shower gel for Veet? Booze is still a necessity right, not sure all the people who made the sudden decision bbq's were vital last weekend and therefore needed lots of different food were right though.
Even though Boris doesn't have a ventilator I guess he has all the right PPE that everyone else is missing.

Also Gove came through this fine even after all he did as schools minister? Seems like years of cuts to the NHS and not allowing nurses, carers and cleaners from abroad is going to really bring those jobs back for the Brits that want them.

That sounds serious. Is one type of alcoholism not enough?
I found out yesterday that one of the partners in the first firm I worked for died a few years ago from alcoholism. He was less than 10 years older than me and probably younger when he died than I am now.
He was a proper heavy drinker though 3 or 4 pints every lunchtime and a couple of bottles of wine in the evening. His normal drinking was like everyone else's heaviest night.
It was pretty obvious that it couldn't last.
He was alright though. A decent sort.
I would describe it as sobering, except that I drank (a couple of glasses of) whisky while playing Fortinite last night

In one game I even got shots off at the last man standing. Not as many as he had at me. It was quite close. If I had used a shotgun I might have won.
I have got better. I am regularly getting kills Sometimes 3 or 4 a game. At this point I get cocky and go to where the good players are on the assumption I can kill anyone. I did actually kill one good player on Saturday. Crept up and shot him in the back. Unfortunately his mate was there and had free close range shots at me.
Helicopter Diving
From 1,500 feet. You need a parachute.
I know this, Everyone knows this.
Hopefully Shenguin now knows this.
I had to land the helicopter and revive him before we could go to the safe place.

Having reload weapon and exit vehicle on the same button may not always be helpful.

There are no likeable characters. 4 stars. I love Billions. the new series is meant to start in about a month. Stick with it. Theres's a really cheesy episode in s1 with Metallica - it almost put me off. There are lots of nice twists and backstabbing.
As you say though - they're all cunts.
