Morning all. Quite on here these days, who'd have thought during an outbreak of flying aids that forces everyone to stay inside, this place would be unusually quite.
Presumably wiggling from home everyone is on the playstation all day instead of pretending to work, hence not on here.
Video James! Witch3r. Its quite good. Got to see a guy about a griffin. It runs surprisingly well on the Switch, although it looks a tad blocky its pleasantly smooth, even compared to the PS4, so far at least. Also been on the Warzone. I've got my Gulag tactics sorted now, TB. Monster Hunter, smashed a gypceros(?) (the flashy poison bastard).
No drink, no rod hull, not even a Diet Coke. Bloody Ocado need to get their shit together.

The folk with kids are trying to work a bit AND entertain them. That's stopped me posting so much you'll be glad to hear.
Homemade lentil soup with toast for dipping as we're rationing the fresh stuff. No Irn-Bru or coke. Probably partly why I'm so tired.

I’m actually having to work. Entirely unreasonable. Though right now I’m enjoying 15 minutes in the garden listening to 3 doors down perfecting their routine for the 2021 world power-sanding championships.

I'm doing some mandatory training. I'm annoyed about this and I've taken two screenshots of information that's wrong in the information governance training.
Sorry can't do that in outlook at our place. The rules are client side and not server. So fuck off.

I'm horribly busy and still have to look after either the baby or boy in intervals. Why couldn't this of happened 10 years ago when I lived alone?

I'm working. Well mostly WhatsApping, but that counts as work these days. I'm so busy it is difficult to take a break to post here
I can hear birds singing and there is no traffic around. It is most odd.

I am also working, but have a real craving for home-made cheese scones. Only the lack of butter is stopping me.

Apparently work are thinking the remote working situation will be going on for another 8 weeks, my manager is thinking it’ll be 12.
That’ll be fun.

I'm busy playing Animal Crossing and researching playground equipment for the grandchildren. I told you this would happen (playing Animal Crossing, that is). So all I can do to entertain you is post some pictures. Here is one of me getting woken up by Timmy's phone call this morning. Yes, I actually go to bed and switch off the lights in the game. And put out the campfire. And here is yesterday's " Night at the Museum" shot when after several days I figured out what the spot on the floor is for.
P.S. Anyone got a spare piece of Diplodocus?

Apparently work are thinking the remote working situation will be going on for another 8 weeks, my manager is thinking it’ll be 12. That’ll be fun. There could be as many as 66,000 Covid-19 deaths in the UK during the first wave of the current pandemic, more than a third of the expected death toll across Europe, according to modelling by a US university.
The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington’s School of Medicine estimated that approximately 151,680 people were likely to die from the virus across the continent. According to a news release by the institute:
The death toll in many countries is compounded by demand for hospital resources well in excess of what is available. For example, peak demand in the UK is expected to total 102,794 hospital beds needed compared with 17,765 available, 24,544 ICU beds compared to 744 ICU beds available, and 20,862 ventilators needed (with data currently unavailable on ventilators available).
That is the first phase. There may be more phases. Even 12 weeks may be optimistic. The big problem is that there is a lag between action and infections. So if the numbers fall and they ease restrictions it won't be clear whether or not this was a good idea for about two weeks, by which time it is a little late to find out. I'd expect some easing, but not a whole lot.

need two things for the museum. That's going to move me on! There's a lot to be said for playing one game at a time.

I've just heard BJ lauded as 'uniquely energetic' on radio 5. I expected a bit of hagiography given the situation, but that's not the most plausible place to start.
On the plus side, I've taken delivery of 18 bottles from the Harviestoun Brewery. On the downside, I didn't read the small print on the website carefully enough and it turns out they are 330 ml bottles. Will be gone by the weekend.

That's only 10.5 pints - be gone by tomorrow night in my house. I too am working, I've just launched calculator in Win10 to do that very important bit of maths for Rolling. 4pm, surely it's time to clock off now*
*Yes, today's been a drag.

Not sure if I can handle the rest of this week with the neighbour shouting at her son or the dogs let alone another 8 weeks.

Any spare time is spent on getting food.

The West coast of the US of A just gone 8am and OUR fucking internet goes tits up; Shitupon Valley, where keeping their connections up to speed is the only thing that matters, and it will carry on until it's 7.30 a.m. our time.

Hello.
I'm making a cottage pie.
Earlier today I was sitting in the garden reading, and listening to several episodes of the Atletico Mince podcast. I laughed out loud several times.
I've also had two gins and tonic.
Send more gin. And tonic. And lemons.

I'm beginning to regret my decision not to panic buy cider, based on the scientific evidence that I rarely, if ever, drink. Turns out the science was wonky! Being stuck in the house my desire to drink heavily has increased massively.
Since I have a bit more exposable income due to no 2 hour (each way) commute to work at the moment (and no morning rod hull), I'm back on the game wagon, namely the timely release of Disaster Report 4, a natural disaster simulator. Hopefully will learn some best practices.

I am down to my last bottle of red.
Regretting putting a glug in yesterdays beef stew now, although it was yummy. Leftovers tonight, with crispy dumplings, as they don't need butter and i'm out of spuds.
