Thirsty as a German. Czech. These are fluid times indeed!

Kane has started to make sense and sound serious. End times, for my judgement at least. I just ordered 10 litres of draught ale from a local brewery. Bottled beer and wine can only ever be a temporary substitute for proper draught ale. It turns out to be a further indictment of my judgement, as there was a choice of 10 or 20 litres, and I ordered just one 10 litre bag. Idiot Shenguin. I don't even have the excuse that I'm drunk at the moment. OTTM: I have a nasty cut on my thumb from slicing very stale crusty bread. It's ok though, I can still put my fingers in my ears and "LA LA LA LA LA NOTHING BAD IS HAPPENING" it all away. 2 nights if no one else has any? 3-4 pints at lunchtime. A pint with dinner 4-5 pints after dinner. You might need a couple of bottles on the second evening just to be safe. I am assuming you had port for breakfast, not beer.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tennent's Super Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue Pils—the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red Pils—you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember: all I'm offering is the truth. Nothing more. I had all the pils.

Do you consider the drinking of oyster stout to be moral and the drinking of snail ale to be immoral?

Shirley that was quoted a few days ago; great quote, though it'd be hard to see "Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion" from anywhere but our part of the galaxy; so assuming the shoulder is Betelgeuse, then end times there started 700 years ago.

Nursey turned up late, gave me a thorough and painful scrubbing, managed to pour water over the bathroom floor. When she poured the water down the toilet bowl she failed to notice that she had left a woven gauze in the bowl... When I flushed it after she'd gone it sounded like a cement mixer. £190 call out to fix it provided I can actually get the guy to come out... On a happier note, my bluebells are out... It's an attachment

Morning punters,
I've been helping the child with her schoolwork today. She had to research an endangered species yesterday and then today she had to make a poster or create a presentation on it. Death by powerpoint about Emperor Penguins it is!
TBF. She's fond of creating them anyway - but she was less than pleased with my tuition on attributing your sources and use of creative commons images. The work is done and she is currently perusing the Able Sisters store with glee.
Games. A small amount of AC:NH, a bit of Forza and a side mission in TD2. Bought Ass Creed Odyssey for the laptop as it was in a sale. Coz i've got time for another open world game. To the backlog you go.

The bluebells have been out in my garden for some days now and are attracting small cabbage whites. I must admit that every time I look at them fluttering around the flowers I'm thinking that I won't bother catching them because they only sell for 160 Bells in Nook's Cranny. (btw, I love the encyclopedia pictures in this game)

www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-52361519I love the spin on this. They are effectively announcing 5,333 extra coronavirus deaths in one week. That have never been included in stats While claiming things have peaked. I have no words to describe how angry I am about this.

So basically,
No one knows how many have died. Nothing is really recorded in a meaningful way, and even if it was, it wouldn't be reported properly, because the government think if they down play it then the general public will just drink the cool aid, while the press want to sensationalise it because they desperately need sales/clicks.
Meanwhile... there is a consensus that things should have been done sooner, quicker and better, apart from by the people who actually make the decisions, who claim that everything is under control, apart from the things that aren't. But that's ok because they are being sorted, even if they aren't. People are shocked at a government who spent 10 years normalising incompetence and dishonesty are displaying incompetence and dishonesty, but 15+ thousand dead is still better than corbyn and his EU. The same EU that people loved for the past 3.5 years, having never previously mentioned it, but are now realising is actually a bit shit.
The one thing everyone can completely agree on however, is that the worst is either over, still yet to come, or possibly both, and that the end is in sight, although no one can see it yet, or would even know what it looked like.
I should have started drinking earlier.
No games.

Old SP was a bit of a one:
"Samuel Pepys
That which we went chiefly to see was the young ladies of the schools, whereof there is great store, very pretty; and also the organ, which is handsome, and makes me mighty earnest to have a pair at our church, I having almost a mind to give them a pair."
