I think we should re-vamp the popular quiz show 'What's in Pootle's pockets?'. I'm minded to go for 'What's in stxdpr 's garden?'. Well if it is the same game the answer is a ------------. It took me ages to get the right answer. Dozens of guesses, maybe a hundred. I'm not giving it away for free. I thought there were three things in Pootle's pockets, as far as I can remember. I could name them all, for 10 large in used bills |

Morning all.
I have begun the long queue at the farm shop for some fresh fruit and veg.
Gamesblog - yes! Amiga games! Alien Breed 3D 2, followed by Katakis, and then the rather poor Jungle Strike.
AB3D2 requires a heck of an Amiga. Luckily I have a couple.

I used to drink ca. 40 pints a week - I know, a mere social drinker; my then boss reported me to the MD... the bastard; he was the Product Director and the two-faced shit used to drink 2 snakebites to my 1 beer. I'm going more along the lines of "Anti Aircraft guns" rather than "Anti Aircraft Artillery guns". The later doesn't really work for me. I was going more for 'Anti Ant Artillery guns', mind you, have you tried hitting one of the blighters with an 88mm shell. It's not easy. Shifty buggers. |

Yesterday was Thursday. Thursday is now grocery delivery day for the foreseeable future. The groceries were delivered. Praise be.
Two packets of Pane Pugliese, known in our household as "the Italian toasting bread" were missing from the order, but that doesn't faze me, for I have also been supporting the Scottish oatcake industry. As long as we have something to put cheese on we are okay. And as long as we have cheese, obviously.

Today my copy of Trials of Mana is supposed to be delivered by one of Jeff's minions. Watch this space to find out whether I can get away from Tom Nook's grasping personality for long enough to play a different game.
OTTM: this morning I read how the President of the United States of America has suggested one should try injecting disinfectants. A new take on the "drink bleach" internet staple?

I also have the original SNES version I haven't even touched yet... Did you try the demo? Seen a lot of neigh sayers bashing it but I thought it was really good - the combat is fast enough that it doesn't get in the way, but still fun. I made the rookie mistake of buying ACNH on disk so I might actually have to remove it from my switch for ToM, which has been a real barrier to playing anything but AC recently. |
