Morning assorted wigglers. I have been assigned a new apprentice. Any suggestions for what menial tasks I can get him to perform during lockdown? Making coffee, mowing the lawn, looking after your kids. You know the usual stuff.

Scubar,
That's pretty much it. On a seige defence a nice setup is to have two units placed as a guard of honour by the gate and another facing the gate. When (and if) the gate is broken in the enemy will surge in and quickly rout when they get hit on all sides. The gatehouse forms a chokepoint which can lead to near destruction if that bouling oil starts a flowing.

Morning 'box. Is it really only Wednesday? Thank fcuk tomorrow is our Friday. Motivation to do anything now is very low. Games: Bit of Child of Light on the PS4 to relax, lovely turn-based battle system, that's not quite up there with Paper Mario's but pretty good. Then more Spodermanning, not quite got the hang of the combat controls yet but getting there. Trying to hoover up the backpacks, masts, and landmarks and the odd vehicle chase and crime stopping event. Four webs. OTTM: No SSD work was carried out, was too tired. Might install it tonight then order a USB caddy for the old one rather than trying to back everything up in one go to my backup disk, forgetting something then having to uninstall the new one, reinstall the old one and copy more stuff. There has to be an easier way of doing this :S

My new PC case arrived and the box is currently in quarantine. The thing weighed a tonne.

gameschat.
Seen that there are a few Final Fantasy games on the steam sale. Never played one so:
1. Which FF is considered the best for a newbie.
2. Does this game on a pc? I usually play more strategic/turn based games on this. (Civ, Total War, X-Com) etc...

Favourite CartoonsDamned difficult to first get to a top 5, ranking nearly impossible, but here's my shot at it: 1. Motoko Kusanagi - close run thing; Batou was who I identified with, and ignoring the OTT pron, I always found Motoko's screw the world attitude fascinating as she sorts out the scum of the underworld. The Laughing Man (笑い男 Warai Otoko) sequence is brilliant ... 2. Daredevil - I so identified with him, Destry can probably guess why... one of my nicknames was "DD". And like him, for a lot of my early teens, growing from 5' 2" to 6' 1", bookish in a v tough school, I was isolated and asocial, so the idea of having compensating superpowers was very attractive. Sadly, no such powers manifested. 3. Lisa Simpson - see 2. for some of the reasons. In many respects there is a lot of Lisa in me, though sadly not the musical talent! 4. Pluto - yet more identification. The butt of all the class jokes at 11 as I was a good 4"taller than anyone else. You get picked on a helluva lot. My only near-reliable impression is Mickey Mouse saying "Hello Pluto" 5. Top Cat - loved the way he could always find a way to get one over on Officer Dibble; and I love cats. (Odd that I didn't like Cats, either the musical and from what I have seen of it, the film.)

And there was me thinking Lisa Simpson was nobody's favourite.
What a world.

People walked into my bush filth Filth is in the mind of the reader. It was a perfectly innocent piece of shrubbery. Probably better if I don't mention I had significant wood at the time.

Harsh. I grew early. In my last year at primary school I was at least 4 inches taller than the male head who was about 5'5" to 5'6" (I was taller than him by the end of the third year juniors. There was one boy in the year above taller than me, but not by much. We used to joke about the little people - meaning the teachers). I was about 6-8" taller than the next tallest and more than a foot taller than some of the smaller pupils. It was a nice school though. I did not get bullied.

Would that I could..... Just been on a call with him, and all his required system access have been covid-blocked. This has of course provided the perfect opportunity to become familiar with our HR and Security teams, so I have sent him off on a mission to sweet talk them into sending him an access token. This should take up a large part of his 6 month assignment, and I can get back to posting in various online fora

Kane, belated birthday greets. Hello. Too busy with work nonsense. No, you can't have stats for Social Media posts on events that haven't happened you fucking nugget. TV. No. The backlog without a commute is getting serious. Games. Wee bits of AC:NH. Some sweet new threads & album covers on the wall, a wee bit of tomb raider. OTTM. Got the new release of the PS3 emulator running. Shoved on Skate 3. Tremendous fun. Sounds like a shrub rocketeer to me. I feel like there's a brilliant (dreadful) pun in here, but I can't see it. 12y-o who isn't mine has a habit of sitting on the sofa and boasting he's got a full wood load-out. He's genuinely unaware.

But hell... what do I know (I should have put Stressed Eric in my list, dammit...

Slider album covers on the wall than registering the titles in an item that can play them? I'm a bit disappointed that one can't have both unless one buys doubles.
