Evening drinking doesn't count right?

16. Coincidentally, also my average daily unit count since lockdown began.

Or early morning - before bedtime, not between bedtime and breakfast obviously.

Does binge drinking still count as four or more units a week? Some of the soons reopening measures might make it a better place but having seen a few people taken out of the local one on stretchers I think there may be issues. I feel the covid death rate if it got a beer festival could be something horrendous unless people were drinking the hand sanitizer also. Although mixing 70% among drinks would not be good the next day.

Dunno any antidepressants. Never paid them any attention and been lucky so far not to require them.
Other than the generic ssri catch all. Blowing a gale here.

Totally agree with your suffixes point... 21/24 - given the quantity and variety of drugs I have taken and having read LotR at least 20 times not a good showing, but in mitigation, Nursey only left 30 minutes ago so I am still full of pain and morphine, and I only had an hour's sleep last night Back in the 70s and 80s going to games conventions the coterie of friends I travelled with often carried a copy of the omnibus volume. Indeed, the first game of postal Diplomacy I played I made a friend who had learnt Quenya and could speak it (along with about 8 other languages). And well done Sheep2 - you obviously haven't drunk enough yet.

I am at work. I have things to do before I can go home. I have a medium term solution in the fridge.

First Dog
Yet again he is the best. I don't even know why people read Pearls Before Swine. My two FD books turned up today. I am very pleased with this. I did order 3 though. One of them does not seem to be available anywhere.

I've been teetotal since 2013 ... Back in the early '90s my lifestyle was about as toxic as it could be... severe stress with all the consequences that brought from working at least 60 hours a week on contracts for major clients like M$, M&S, Sainsbury, British Gas etc. etc., a typical weeks booze would be: 31 pints Morlands / Wethereds or the local brew = 70 units 3 bottles red wine = 30 units 5 glasses Bas Armagnac = 15 units (not the fucking thimblefuls served in pubs) 5 glasses Gin & Tonic or Pernod = 15 units = 130 a week; no wonder so few of us are left alive from then AND 50 handrolled Gauloise a day (stopped in 2006) Games convention consumption was typically much higher; usually 48 hrs of continuous drinking and smoking. At least a pint an hour average - usual games out of pub hours, darts and/or bridge when the pubs were open, poker overnight or a strategy game ... In about '94 I stopped drinking spirits except very occasionally at dinner parties. In '97 I switched to wine mainly and dropped to about 60 units and '06 to about 40 units all wine.

Afternoon all, lunchtime I see. Yes, it's been that kind of week. Started last Thursday really when I came down with a fever, second worst after my sojourn in No Hope dying from mumps in 2008. Two days in bed sweating my pecs off, fine again by Sunday. But as per the government I've not left the flat since. Going slightly mad, to be told by work today that we're staying at home until end of July at least. Kill me now. Games: Spider-man. Jesus this game is buggy. And repetitive. And I am now bored of it but can't muster enthusiasm for anything else. Too warm now too. Like Chumbles' place, my flat gets up to 30c in the summer on occasion and turning all the equipment on only makes it worse. TV: Agents of Shield - where? Movies: Nah. OTTM: I am about to crack my first beer since Sunday. Sweet Punk IPA.

My sympathies mlu035rsc, but just wait until the 6th year... seriously, get an aircon unit; I can't have one because it would have to be monstrous in order to do anything here, but at least I can open the upstairs windows* and get an updraught releasing the heat. *More precisely got Nursey to do this today - with typical Chumbles' timing, just as the weather's breaking

16/24 I fell into some traps but avoided others. I'm not familiar with antidepressants (or Tolkien for that matter). My preferred type of antidepressant comes in a bottle or two. Whenever the doctor asks how many units of alcohol per week I consume I always give them the amount of glasses of wine. So much easier to measure. Nothing about the grandkids' missing Switch console, still supposedly in Herpes's "local" depot. When I first put everything in motion to send this to the granddaughter I asked her mother to keep it a secret because I wasn't sure whether it would work out and I didn't want her to get too excited. Unfortunately she overheard her parents discussing it. [facepalm][/facepalm] Last night I learnt that now that it hasn't materialised she's been told that someone's pinched it and she is very upset. Terrific. Textbook handling of the situation, no, really. Desk, meet Head. So now I had to reassure her that Omi is going to use her Supernan powers to make things right. No pressure then. That glass looks awfully small from this angle.

I sent that quiz to my mate who is a pharmacist. He scored lower than me. Very reassuring.

Good Morning Everyone!
Fuck you Banyfark.*
23/24. That's the Tolkien / antidepressants quiz, but also a statement that I intend to drink 23 or 24 units tonight.
Worked from 05.30 to past 19.30 and I am not happy about it.
*No offence.
