This is extraordinary ... whether it's good enough to want to listen to more than once I dunno.
He looks high as a kite, don't he?

It's Booker T & The MG's.. And here's the real classic ... At the same time I was learning to play the acoustic folk guitar on a 'repaired' instrument bought at a jumble sale, my brother got a brand new base guitar and amp. Bitter? Moi? The annoying part of this was that he was tone-fucking-deaf, so not only did I have to occasionally listen to the sound of songs being murdered I had to tune the bloody thing for him. And what did he play... Green Onions... endlessly. After an hour of this his machine would be out of tune, I would be at the bottom of the garden with the cat. It's bad when even the cat seeks refuge...

Chumbles . I've said it before, but, Green Onions was the first vinyl I ever bought. I am a man of taste and refinement.

The drummer must have muscles like steel to hold that position and play so exactly

I was in Ireland driving from Dublin to Newcastle, NI, when I detoured to Newgrange... by some confluence of time and space I had this on my radio as I drove into the car park in brilliant sunshine - the memory still makes me shiver...

And an utterly stunning and very moving combination of music and the trilogy / book I love above all things.

Alexa pronounces her name as Ooriell; I pronounce it Yuriell. Whatevs. I've bought every single thing she's ever recorded. An extraordinary voice...
