The exam board is edexcel, so I expect a lot of questions along the line of: “what was your initial reaction to the play?” Oh shit.

I expect a lot of questions along the line of: “what was your initial reaction to the play?” Easy. Four stars. Job done.

Whats everyone's plans for the weekend? My niece is struggling with her drama A level coursework, and I’ve promised I will help. Anybody know now anything about The Caucasian Chalk Circle? I'm guessing you've looked at online resources? The Caucasian Chalk Circle Study Guide

Do they go by the text or a particular performance or both? I'm asking because the first performance I've come across online doesn't bother with the frame narrative.

Destry: Ill be hunting around for free resources like that. Unfortunately I’ve forgotten all my old teacher log-ins.
Tenthenemy: I’m not sure yet. My niece is sixteen, so answers all queries with “uhh”, or “Idunno”.
I find her fascinating. Most of her written communication is in three letter acronyms: smh, kys, pir, etc. She claims that using a full stop at the end of a sentence means you are angry. She is a good chess player, yet I always beat her easily because she cannot ignore her phone for more than a minute. She believes that all colours other than black are superfluous.
I might come back for advice, but as Atticus says “it isn’t time to worry yet”. I need an initial meeting where I can find out what she actually has to do before I can decide how best to help her.

Any amazon prime recommendations? Halt and Catch Fire. I haven't read any of the rest of the thread.

The nail in the coffin of the Guardian's Games Chatterbox (confirmed by Keza's tweet) reminded me of the strained relationship between Teletext and Digitiser. Sounds familiar? The similarities continue... When Teletext bit the dust Digitiser was re-invented online as Digitiser 2000. Still worth a read and your time...

Games chat.
EDIT: You do realise members can post their own threads here, right? If you want to discuss a specific subject/game (e.g. MHW) or post your own reviews, you are welcome to do so. However, with multiple threads open, and just one of me, I may need to enlist help in moderating this place.
Views?

Digitiser: I think the website is an example of how creativity is born out of limitations. It still raises a smile, but it can't hold a torch to the text pages.
Extra threads and moderators: we'd have to hire externally because, I mean, look at us.
Also, I like the format being as close to the original as possible. Although, saying that, the star wars thread worked well for me as I saw it late. Hmmm....

The tastiness of Salt and Vinegar Chipsticks is inversely proportional to their price. Rumsfeld's 'New American Century' failed to forsee that their Neo-Con spiel would merge with and eventually be consumed by celebrity pop-culture until it span out of the GOP's control entirely. You shouldn't mow your lawn until February 25th each year. Peter Davidson was a better Doctor than vet. Umbrellas are waste of my time and yours. Diesel should not be stored in the cupboard under the stairs. Under normal circumstances, most underpants can be worn for no more than two consecutive days. Swannich is largely theoretical.

I also like to stick to the original format. Good thing here is that one can simply revive a topic that was posted some hours ago by quoting the relevant post. That way everyone can see it, unlike at The Other Place, where most likely only the person one's responded to would notice the comment. If it's something that one would like to discuss the next day it's easy enough to bring it up again. I like how everyone can chime in.
Need some sleep now, the people coming to collect our car could be turning up at 8 o'clock and phoning at 7:20.
I still want to know who of you were joyriding in a stolen car in the south of Birmingham a few nights ago.
