I'm playing Fallout 4, Far Harbour. It's not supposed to be a run'n'gun game, is it?

Watching someone stream monster hunter. Absolutely incomprehensible particularly as I've the sound down to better monitor the monitor.

As Mrs Crank was off to Edinburgh this afternoon with friends (pyjakson?) #ladsontour Nah, we just cut about the Waverley area and ended up playing jenga in 6°North, where there was not a woman in sight. My mate on the train back to Glasgow can be easily identified as he is wearing red shoes and trousers so short they stop about halfway down his calves. And yes, bloggie, he is a real person...

Watching someone stream monster hunter. Absolutely incomprehensible particularly as I've the sound down to better monitor the monitor. I've become very fond of watching Monster Hunter videos. Mesmerising. Quiet night in, lemon sole goujons (i.e. little breaded bits), pommes salardaise, green salad, South African Chenin blanc. A (mostly, apart from the salad, but then again ancient Sumerian doesn't distinguish between green and yellow) yellow tea, although with pretensions. Desert: Jaffa cakes and whisky. Games: now deep into Revali's Song, which can only mean Hebra region, which can only mean one thing: Shield Surf's Up! Wheeeeeee!!!🏂 Anyway, I read his diary. What a jerk.

Hello. Day 2 Of Invasion America is going well.
We have assimilated ourselves, spent the day lazing by the pool and the evening we went out for pizza.
I’m driving a massive 4x4 Ford truck which I intend to get stuck in the Starbucks drive thru tomorrow. And then have my own tailgate party for the Super Bowl.
Temperature was 30°c and sunny- and seems to be set this way for the rest of the week.
I’m still missing Monster Hunter.

I am hungover. Watched the new Netflix show Altered Carbon last night, it initially seems promising although is unashamedly ripping off Blade Runner.

You're the absolute best. Your friend sounds like an Elton John song. Must be great being Scottish.

Hello.
Amipal, I see there is a new season of The X Files starting on Channel 5 tomorrow.
Today I shall mostly be watching the Italy v England rugby on TV. Later I'll be making a Satay Chicken stir fry with noodles.

Aiming to lose some weight, hence the soup kick, has now turned into an obsessive calorie counting thing, especially for constituent parts of home made meals, lots of weighing and calculation.
Down the rabbit hole
fyi A pepperoni pizza with mushrooms, jalapenos and cheese is 1003 calories (125g of flour)

Nice day here in Sheffield today. Just settling down for the rugby after being mullered on Fortnite. I was selecting squad mode before and the invincible players were my team mates (my bad).
Tried to play some Halo 5 slayer free for all, but couldn't get a game. Sad.
pyjakson- any more get rich schemes in the pipeline?

Pah. My dark knight router has packed in. Had it switched off since we moved ISP. Finally got round to using it. Power-ing it up it couldnae take it captain.
A few folk have had the same. Runs fine switched on for years. Switch off for a bit and doesn't wake up.

Yeah, 255 for half a bottle of Rioja, still the only meal of the day so result <edit> or 280 for half a bottle, wine is a nightmare

pyjakson- any more get rich schemes in the pipeline? I got a call from him today saying he'd managed to replace the plugs on the other machines and sell them on in the condition they were in. He's now bidding on more, so it looks like it could be an ongoing thing. I dread to think how quickly they'll break down. I'll not be doing it too often as it'll interfere with my get-rich-slow scheme, studying for my open uni degree. Games: I went back to final fantasy xv while I was recovering today to do some hunts. I got to the marker for one hunt, then realised the target only appears at night so ended up doing the dishes while I waited for nightfall. I want to know what developers think will be fun about adding unskippable day/night cycles to games and making events dependent on the in game time of day, I just don't get it.

Always try something new: a Japanese friend had given us some beautifully wrapped and boxed Japanese sweets, and she mentioned that they go well with green tea, not something we usually consume. So I bought some green tea and hey! tasty! Very sugary sweets (I had three and I don't feel I need dinner), complemented perfectly by the tea.
Four ****.
Much better than Mr Enemy's efforts, who attended a conference in Japan some years ago and brought back a bag of sweets that had a little poem in English on it, on the theme of sunshine and friendship. Only that it turned out that they weren't sweets at all but some kind of fish bouillon cubes.
He kept offering them to unsuspecting victims. Hilarious.

Evening all, I can see myself going deep in monster hunter world.
Also it’s the Superb Owl tonight! And I can watch it all with no consequences. The joys of being unemployed!
