I am starting to sweat quite a bit now. Time to put some Stellas in the fridge.

Garden chat: our front garden has two honeysuckles in full flow. One is red flowered and it is interlocked with a brilliant Clematis; however, this is completely odorless and so in my view is of little worth, therefore I am tempted to rip it out.
The other honeysuckle is yellow flowered and has invaded from next door and has exploded in colour underneath our living room window. It produces a fantastic citrus smell and I continue to let it invade across the garden.

Apparently I'm cutting the hedge. Fucks sake. What did you think you were doing?

Apropos of nothing if I owned a wildebeest shop in South London I would call it Gnus of Brixton.

Amipal, Friendly fire is always a problem. Even in melee a follower can get into the middle of things. Fireball always used to cause me lots of problems. Same with lightning. I found ice spikes easier to dodge though. The amount of times I've delivered the coup de grace to a critically-injured follower... usually with an arrow in the head. Still working on Enchantment too. That's a great way to get magicka regeneration increased, as well as using less magicka for spells.

What did you think you were doing? I thought I was maybe going to sit on my arse answering email, drinking coffee and do a little work on my Animal Crossing garden. No irony there at all.

The thought of the beer in my fridge is the only thing keeping me going right now.

Made worse by the heat and the fact that... The 5 items that I ordered Sunday / Saturday are due 1:15 PM - 3:15 PM, but the other item I ordered 3 weeks ago hasn't even left the Luton depot. I'm annoyed but that poor devil has got to deliver in the hottest part of the day ...
Edit 12.10, second delivery = Estimated arrival 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM Edit 14.45m, first delivery 3 items "Delivered today", the other two are marked as "Dispatched" FFS Driver says he can't find them ... Second delivery now "Estimated arrival 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM". I'm laying evens this won't turn up. Update: 35c in here now and rising

Of only real hedges could be moved by pressing a button and didn't need cutting at the risk of suffering a heat stroke. One day in the future real life will imitate Animal Crossing, not the other way around. To judge by the state of the world right now, not any time soon.

There was a time when Lydia made an ill advised dash in front of me as I made a shout down a corridor full of Forsworn. Sadly what did it for her was landing by one of those spiky door traps which then proceeded to do its thing. Normally the follower just goes down on one knee (insert Raab joke) and stays there for a bit.

They cannot be killed at that point by enemies or traps - only you can do it...

Shouldn't you lads be down the beach with the rest of the local population? No, because we're not fucking idiots. Local-knowledge dictates that if you want to go down the beach, go early. Before all the Londoners turn up.

I went to the beach today. In a responsible socially distanced way. I'm now in the garden, in shade, with some panache.
Finally managed to convince the 5y-o who is not mine to go indoors on to a tablet to keep her quiet and out of the sun. Top too parenting.

The new animal crossing update looks better than the recent events. Swimming! I'm not surprised that they brought swimming and diving (and Pascal) back. The diving equipment that shows up in your museum at one point was a not particularly subtle hint. From the graphics that accompanied the announcement of a second summer update it's quite clear that the weekly August fireworks are going to be a thing again. Speaking of coffee, I'm convinced that most if not all of the missing cast is going to return over time, including Brewster and his mouthwatering coffee expertise. I was always sad that I needed to settle on one kind of favourite coffee because I loved all of them. Is it weird to enjoy a virtual cup of coffee more than a real one? I'm sure that he'll also bring back the gyroids. Writing this post made me discover this Brewster plush. Want.

Like any Brummie at the seaside all he wants is a big ice cream, 12 pints, to turn bright red and fall over. It's a traditional ritual. You can do it perfectly well while remaining socially distanced.
