Furst!
Morning all,
Started a new game of Civ VI. Domination/Science game playing as Rome, so far it's ok although myself and China are having that Carthage type tension as they keep settling right up to my borders.
Civ VI seems to favour wide empires in complete contrast to Civ V. I'm sure it'll end badly.

Morning all.
Gamesblog: Skyrim, and thanks to my high-Enchantment level, I've now been able to equip myself with NO ARMOUR. That's right, my Mage wades into battle with only his magical protection to, erm, protect him. Getting good quite at sniping people with ice spike from afar. More problematic is when a whole bunch of them rush me.
TVblog: a couple of episodes from the gas-leak series of Community.
Amigablog: received two CD32 games at the weekend, so tried those out: Banshee (vertically-scrolling shoot'em-up) and Brutal Sports Football (violent future-sports American football).

Just had my input to How do you think care homes have handled the coronavirus crisis? Please share your experiences by emailing haveyoursay@bbc.co.uk.With variable success. I've been told by a district nurse that she has to wear full PPE gear at one care home as soon as she enters the grounds because the staff are not wearing PPE properly. In one instance the member of staff had his mask hanging from his ear.
There's much more, like that bloody dangerous nurse I reported here and to her bosses; the ambulance man and his partner who have had their son and grandson visiting since April... how do I know, because the nurses have moaned because the selfish cunts repeatedly block both the visitor parking space and my drive and forced the nurses to suit up fifty yards away. I've constantly asked them not to do this... This blanket approval of NHS staff is very dangerous. I don't have time to relate what the local authority carers reportedly get up to. Don't get ill...

Shreddies for breakfast.
More PUBG last night, I am hitting decent form now and only concentrate on one map. My KDR for the season is finally above 1 (and I don't come across that many bots playing in the evening).
Telly: Watching the original Jurassic Park, Speilberg knew the difference between a good family film and a classic was the soundtrack.

Not having to go in to work today. But looks like at least one day a week from next week. But I've to travel at off peak when it's quieter. So I'd be more productive at home as I'd have more time on my pc and not nearly 3 hrs travelling. Hmm.
Games. No. Work. Yes. TV. Catastrophe.
Why did that PUBG player say you deserved to die? Shirley looting bodies is how you progress?

Why did that PUBG player say you deserved to die? Shirley looting bodies is how you progress? It wasn't so much about BabyF doing the looting, more about having created that lootable body in the first instance.

Telly: Watching the original Jurassic Park, Speilberg knew the difference between a good family film and a classic was the soundtrack. I'm guessing he could also spell his name correctly. TV: Some film, summink to do with cowboys and explosive orange balls. Games: Black Flag. Grub: Lasagne with added broccoli & carrots. Lovely. OTTM: No.

I have my chat set to private in Fortnite. This is very much for the best. Particularly when I am corpse carrying.
On the other hand if they could hear our tactical discussions it would probably help us. At the very least I'd have a good idea of where Shenguin had suggested I should go. Lots of kills. Some second places. Another victory inches nearer.

I watched a YouTube thing not too long ago which shows how Spielberg is a master of composition and screen ratio. The film was shot at a 1.85:1 aspect ratio, giving 24% more vertical landscape within each frame. This meant that he could not only show tall dinosaurs, but also make them feel tall in the process. Really makes the humans in such scenes feel tiny. And the looking-down camera angles give a great bit of hubris in the beginning, with later changes to the angle used really showing their comeuppance.

The real art of making a good film is to show someone being eaten by a T rex while taking a shit.

So I'd be more productive at home as I'd have more time on my pc and not nearly 3 hrs travelling. Hmm. That's a case for Unison, although a more disunited union* it's hard to find... talk to your union rep. That implied instruction to work 21h a week longer is not only immoral it's highly illegal. *I once (as HSE Convenor) closed Waltham Forest's Central Library for 4 hrs. because some fuck-witted contractors were treating ceiling timbers with a highly toxic mixture shielded by some patchy sacking while the public, coughing away, were walking past them not 8' away. One old girl had retreated outside ... I told them to stop, got the staff to get everyone out etc. I explained the situation to the Chief Librarian and told him also that he was now directly and personally responsible for any injuries, illnesses stemming from any decision of his to reopen the building. He agreed with the decision and came with me to back it up. The borough's Unison grand high muckamuck told me to "Keep quiet and don't rock the boat." I told him to put it in writing ... He fucked off.

My commute in normal times is 20 minutes driving, 50 minutes cycling, or an hour by public transport. I do not use the public transport.

I've had my barnet fixed professionally. The barber did apologise for first having to cut my foliage back, 'to see what he was working with'. £10 well spent.
No rain. Lots of Biscoff choccy biscuits and coffee.

I'm going to watch amipal's sweet content now, I'll need a stiff drink first. If he's not wearing a stupendous outfit (Miami Vice springs to mind), words will be had, or not.

No sun, no games and due to social distancing rules in an office with no outside windows. Wrap, watermelon and other bits for lunch. This covid being given food is healthier than chips or toastie for lunch now.

It's warm and sunny here in Plymouth. I'm having a nice cider and scoffing salt & vinegar crisps (Smiths). It's all rather pleasant. It won't last. It never does.

Mince'n'totties with peas for dinner. Ideal food for July in this tropical climate. In my defence we're using up food from the freezer.
Hopefully some games later.
