Apart from being a terrible idea it's a very generous gift. Have you seen the prices for funerals? Maybe he should leave some brochures lying about the house to get her used to the idea. The advantage is that he'll never have to worry about a present again, either because he'll be paying into the plan for the foreseeable future or she's left him.
