Kid 1 back at nursery today. Lots of face masks, hand sanitizer and temperatures being taken.
There hasn't been a single 30 degree plus day this July in the UK, good thing I haven't been laying around the house all summer.
Telly: started Black Panther and finished Mandalorian, the latter really nailed the Star Wars feels, but perhaps could have been a little more ambitious and grand in places.

8 minutes of Halo Infinite gameplay. I like the grapple hook and portable shield, although obviously ripping of TF2 and Borderlands 3.

Asshole neighbour’s son was off last night, singing, wailing and banging on the walls until 3 in the morning. Was so bad at one point we nearly called the police.

Asshole neighbour’s son was off last night, singing, wailing and banging on the walls until 3 in the morning. Was so bad at one point we nearly called the police. How old is the son? Is there any way to wreak some early-morning vengeance? Like having a blender going for a long, intermittent periods, from 6am? |

And could retaliate, but as we’re hoping to move soon, don’t really want to escalate it as we’d have to declare any problems with the neighbours. I’m trying to work myself up to go round and talk to them, or to write a note to put through. Last night wasn’t acceptable at all. |

A few years ago I lived next door to some students who, while perfectly nice people, were sometimes quite loud at night. On the mornings after they'd kept me awake I used to sellotape their doorbell down when I left for work.

Rename your wi-fi network. It's the modern passive aggressive weapon of choice. I’m not sure they even know what WiFi is, they’re quite old fashioned. I’d peg both of them as over 65. So not quite as effective as you’d think, sadly. |
