Games? Had a go at Star Wars Battlefront II. It is acceptably Star-Warsy. 4 Stars.
Telly? Room 237, which is a film about the crazy interpretations that have been developed by fans of the movie The Shining. It is troubling how coherent and believable the crazy people are while explaining the connections between things that don't exist. 4 Stars.
Ottm? I went for a walk and then played tennis; and now I have a sore knee and a sore arm. 4 Stars.

It's a tad warm out there. Even at 8:40 when I left the house it was too much. Stay hydrated.

I did at least end on a high note with Squeamish About: Entertainments. That had me guffawing like a trooper.
Amigablog: testing still. Cannon Fodder and it's sequel works!

Our garden is nearly finished, we just need a wall rendered and another strip of turf. I anticipate it will finally be done as winter sets in.

As you say, though, they were utter garbage last weekend so hopefully the replacements take their chance. A couple of them I am glad are excluded. A couple more have been practicing social isolation on the field for the best part of a year. The big problem is that all three strikers are now out, leaving some schoolboy we got on loan from Leeds 5 minutes before the season started. On the other hand, scoring goals is not really part of the gameplan. |

I have ordered extra rum, limes and a large case of corona, all of which should arrive in the next 90 minutes. I am as ready as I ever will be.
Games. Not really. My PS4 is gerfucked and making horrible noises. 28 degree heat is not a good addition to the look. I just keep watching the Demon’s Souls rerelease teaser trailer instead. I should fire up the grill and have a play of the original, get in the mood.
OTTM: I may have mentioned this before but “Folk” by Zoe Gilbert is a really weird book. Highly recommended, unless you need cheering up.

Books
The History Of Science Fiction Adam Roberts
I am only part way through it.
I disagree with his fundamental theory that SF is protestant and fantasy is Catholic.
He is ordering things in ways they do not fit.
However it is a very interesting (in a dull kind of way) book. It has shown me a lot of books I have not heard of. Fortunately many of them are out of copyright so I can download them for free and not read them.
