Hi. Games: AC Odd. It's good, I like it. Still on Megaris, and struggling to make much headway on the main quests (level 9). However, it's enough fun doing the side quests that it doesn't seem like a chore. Having a bit of trouble remembering which of the headgear guys are Athenians and which are Spartans, but they all kill me pretty easily anyway. 4 star. Headgear? That just the rank, you can tell by the colours (Blue -Athens, Red - Sparta). If you have your eagle tag them it'll also tell you. Level 9 means most things will kill you, especially if there's more than one. I was killed by a bunch of chickens early on. Lethal lot they were, especially if they are a level above you. |

I made the mistake of going outside and mowing the lawn, and am now dripping in sweat.
I think Fall Guys only currently lets you party up with 3 others which is a shame. The developers are also pretty non committal with regards to crossplay and Xbox and Switch versions.

I'm pretty sure there will be crossplay with Xbox and Switch, but first Mediatonic needs to build those versions. As much as I want this I can understand that at the moment they are firefighting to make their servers stable. That game is here to stay and I'm certain party play will improve in the future, but they are a small developer overwhelmed with success, so I'll cut them some slack. |

I'm back from the seaside (boo!). With customary sticks of rocks, burnt red skin and a couple more body boards for our collection in the shed (yay!).
It's too hot inland. I miss my sea breeze.

scamander Yeah, I've got the DLC too. After spending much of the game building settlements, I didn't much fancy developing my own vault too. Maybe I'll return to it once Skyrim is done. Again. When are you going to get to 'S' in your esteemed catalogue of games? At the current rate? October, 2026. Nah, I'm going through at quite a quick rate actually. Should be doing the S drawer in a week's time I reckon. |

Hello.
This morning was the morning after the night before, by which I mean that the social distancing game stream I like to take part in started at 8 p.m. and went on until one o'clock in the morning.
Because it's easier to stream to Twitch and Youtube simultaneously from the PC rather than console we are limited to the Steam library. Yesterday's game fit that bill nicely: Legend of Heroes: TITS (Trails In The Sky). The downside is that there are almost always technical problems (it's the reason why I stick to console gaming). We had to sit through the lengthy opening dialogue three times as the cinematic cutscene that follows crashed the game twice. It only worked after switching cutscenes off. So here's what I missed yesterday:
Within the 5 hours we managed to leave the first town and the tutorial area, so pretty good going for a JRPG. Anyway, the stream was a hit with the viewers. Towards the end to the audience's amusement, the protagonists got trapped in an endless death loop as the enemies in the first "proper" area hit fairly hard and are easy to walk into. We have suggested that a death compilation might be YouTube gold (title: "Goddammit, Joshua!"), I'll post a link if this comes to pass.
OTTM: yesterday morning a telephone call from Severn Trent Water confirmed what we had already noticed: the water pressure was very low. They said it was because of a burst pipe and that they were working on it. Later in the day it improved gradually, so either they fixed the leak or they found out who was selling bottled tap water as Northfield Spring.
