I think my mix was too wet. Time will tell. Expecting to find a pile of crumbled mortar on the ground tomorrow.
A bit like my face. Fallen and grey.
Cut the grass you say? The treats are never ending!

Did the mix stick to your trowel? Did it slump when you applied it? Was it fully mixed?
I did some major concreting over lockdown. Got through a whole 10kg bag in two sessions. The garden wall has never looked worse.

Why are you all stealing Greta's future?
A dung/straw mixture will suffice.

A dung/straw mixture will suffice. I did that as well, until I ran out of straw.

"The Half-Assed Approach to Foundation Repair."
Hello, I'm Troy McClure.
You might remember me from such instructional videos as...
Mothballing Your Battleship and Dig Your Own Grave and Save.
Now, over the next six hours, I'll be taking you through...
the do's and do-not-do's of foundation repair.
Ready?
First, patch the cracks in the slab using a latex patching compound and a patching trowel.
Now, do you have extruded polyvinyl foam insulation?
Good.
Assemble the aluminum J-channel using self-furring screws.
After applying brushable coating to the panels, you'll need corrosion-resistant metal stucco lath.
If you can't find metal stucco lath, use carbon-fiber stucco lath.
Now parge the lath!

Did the mix stick to your trowel? Did it slump when you applied it? Was it fully mixed? Speak English man. Christ. It wasn't soup, it didn't drop off no. It was relatively firm but didn't quite defy gravity. It was as mixed as it could get. There wasn't any powder in the bucket. Slump? Found some on YouTube last night that's proper ready mixed - didn't need water. Will try that when this all falls off. That or get the PM's dad down to show me with the remainder of the stuff I used today.

Hmmm...
"Douglas McWilliams, a former chief economic adviser to the Confederation of British Industry, has warned the economy will not return to its pre-pandemic size until 2025 if home working continues in its current form, which would add up to at least £480bn in lost activity."
"However, the CEBR forecast is based on nothing changing with home working, which McWilliams stressed “more likely it will.”"

Afternoon. Frustration again this morning with my mum's telephone connection. First the number wasn't recognised, then I had to wait quite a long time before it started ringing and I could just make out that she had answered the phone before everything deteriorated into static crackling noises. Third time we were able to have a 2 minute conversation through that interference when she told me that both telephone and television are affected. More news from the grandchildren: it turns out that my younger granddaughter at 3 1/2 years has already stronger nerd credentials than most. Everyone was worried when she didn't start speaking at the usual age and was diagnosed with delayed speech development for which she now receives therapy. But there's one word that she says with confidence, loud and clear: This is because she absolutely loves the window display of a nearby Warhammer Hobby Centre. Fear not, for the next generation of Melvazord 's heirs has already been born and his legacy will live on. Her older sister is a very much a pinkification girly girl, who, when recently asked to get a present in a store, chose a doll that she can dress up in different outfits. When her younger sister was asked whether there was anything nice she'd like to take home, she looked around and eventually came back with the National Geographic realistic looking dinosaur play set. Touché. I've been told that she can unlock her mother's mobile phone and find Korean cartoons on YouTube that she's very fond of in seconds. Forget about anime tropes, Dooly the Little Dinosaur, the adventures of a baby Ceratosaurus with superior brain power that had been abducted by aliens, it's where it's at! Her English skills might be lacking but her Korean is coming on a treat. She hasn't been given access to video games yet, but presumably in future they can simply glue the controller to her hands. The future of co-op play looks bright.
