The ads below are trying to persuade me to buy Lanson champagne for Valentine's day.
Poor targetting.

Hi all. My brother has given me a snes mini that he set up to play snes mega drive and gba games. What's the best 2 player games I can put on I could play with my 5 year old? Mario kart is proving a bit tricky Kirby Super Star? I've never played it btw.

Ads - All I get is leather jacket adverts, which I guess would be well targeted if I intended on buying another in the next ten years...
Snes mini - toughen your kid up by leaving them playing games designed for much older kids, like we had to. When I play Alex Kidd in Miracle World, the first level is still seared into my memory but the second is pretty new to me. Those were the days.

Mario kart is proving a bit tricky Snes Mario Kart is tricky for anyone. Karting has come a long way. Kirby games or Donkey Kong Country. DKC is a superb game and great in co-op. Edit: Or follow Pyjakson's advice and play Contra III: Alien Wars. That'll put hairs on the chest of your 5-year old. Probably literally.

SNES Mario Kart is by far the hardest in the series, but you get a lot out of it if you persevere. I can't think of any easy kid friendly games on the SNES, maybe R-Type if it's on there?

After trying to make heads or tails of the first xfiles last week it's back to STD. It seems to be a bit all over the shop now after finding its way a bit more. Still one episode to catch up with.
Anything else on that's good? Going to try patriot soon.

We shall have a go at that and I've gone with Kirby as suggested also and some Mickey mouse game as well. Tonight I'm going with sonic

After trying to make heads or tails of the first xfiles last week it's back to STD. I'm watching X Files Ep 2. After last week's ep with Scully's brain flashing morse code messages we now have M&S solving dodgy logic puzzles in Arlington cemetery. Shark jumping that's a joy to behold.

Watching some figure skating while waiting for snowboarding. They seem to have to mimic their partner. Very impressive. The Italians are a tad excitable. I don't think anyone is going to try the iron lotus.

I don't think anyone is going to try the iron lotus. Wasn't the snowboarding made trickier than usual by high winds? Some added excitement. Speaking of excitement, here's the voice of temptation, aka Mr Tent Rooster, and I quote: "Let's have a beer and watch some ball-busting figure skating!" Make of that what you will...

Street Fighter 2. Everybody needs a chance to learn the great cheating tactics of Blanka, E.Honda and Chun Li.

How do?
My evening and yesterday's has consisted of my maybe every other yearly run-through of bullfrog games.. dungeon keeper and theme hospital in particular.
Does anyone else have a game/s which they keep coming back to?
I must have completed DK at least 4-5 times, but it keeps pulling me back..

Episode 4 jumps back over the shark the other way. Or the shark swims under. Whatever the phrase for redeeming a show is.
