Good Morning Bullying Clique! I won a Duo game of Fortnite. Sheeps and I hid in the caves under the farm, and got trapped in there by the closing storm. Perfectly safe from the other players. I volunteered* to die first, and gave all my health stuff to Sheeps so he could survive the storm longest. In the event, the last other player died moments after the storm totally closed, so we both survived for the win. *After a brief game of chicken, in which it became clear Sheeps would rather lose than die before me. We were only trapped right at the end. In the last few seconds. Before that the southern entrance was open. I had a bead on someone as they built a ramp right outside. I am pretty certain they should have been able to see me as well. Also as I was designated survivor it made sense for me to take all the health stuff. In the event I did not use any of it. I was just about to when we won. I should also point out that I got 3 kills in the game out of our team total of 3 kills. Shenguin is terrible at chicken.

Crusader Kings 3
This is pretty insane. At least I passed the tutorial - unlike Hearts Of Iron 3.

Crusader Kings 3This is pretty insane. At least I passed the tutorial - unlike Hearts Of Iron 3. Four stars I’ve enjoyed what I’ve played so far. It’s deep, intriguing and confusing. Might have to buy it and own it for real, but not while it’s still on game pass.

The Netflix gaming documentary is definitely worth watching, but yeah they kind of skipped Spectrums, C64, Amiga etc...maybe they were not that big a deal outside the UK? *cough* Amstrad CPC 464 *ahem*
Acorn Electron. Playing Elite on it was interesting with it's whopping half-a-frame per second. I actually bought it for programming and invested in the Pascal cartridge. I never learnt it.

Games. Half an hour of MSFS. I crashed during tuition. I then took off from Glasgow Airport and realised as it was 22.30 it was dark and so wouldn't see my house. Stupid Flanders. I believe you can set the time and weather in the options, rather than using live, so you can see your house in full tropical glory/eye of hurricane - delete as applicable.
MSFSchat! I upped my paltry 8GB ram to a shiny new 16GB corsair vengeance set..... and am still getting message about not meeting game requirements. Sod it. Tried adding the original 8GB as well and although PC recognises 24GB it will only use the new 16GB oh well it was worth a try.
Either it's my broadband speed not up to muster, or GFX card, although a GTX-970 is well above minimum specs.... might be tempting me into upgrading to one of the new RTX's but can't really justify* almost half a grand.
*I can, seeing as I will probably need it for Cyberpunk 2077 if it ever makes it to a release, just don't tell the PM.
Overall the game plays OK on 'High-End' settings, as long as I stay away from big cities, in which case I begrudgingly have to lower it way down to avoid it turning into a slideshow.

The Netflix gaming documentary is definitely worth watching, but yeah they kind of skipped Spectrums, C64, Amiga etc...maybe they were not that big a deal outside the UK? Popular across Europe, though. The C64 sold upward of 17 million units (some estimates go up to 30 million), and most of those were in the States.

Also, my hangover has finally gone. *cough* Amstrad CPC 464 *cough* Oh. No mention of the Amstrad PCW? It was a god-send to an amateur magazine editor and, although naff for games, as a wp, it was brilliant- ALL the diacritics and a plethora of symbols, especially useful being the suits for reporting Poker and Bridge ... I even bought *hush* a huge 20mb hard drive and networked 2 together! Civilization doomed it.

Anyway...
Morning all.
Gamesblog: no.
TVblog: no.
YouTubeblog: some camera thing on the newest Leica M10 model, and then the RLM Half in the Bag of Rise of the Skywalker (which was more entertaining than the film itself).
OTTM: just had a videoconference at work, and my new lightpanel came in very useful for actually illuminating my face, rather than it being rather dark. Will have to see if my employer will reimburse me the cost.

Hello, I think I may be in a bit of a gaming funk. I played the first couple of hours of the FFVII remake, but don't really feel like going back to it. I am also getting bored with Mario Odyssey, despite still having well over 500 moons still to go.
Tv: I am being forced to watch something called The Fall, in which Scully off of x files goes to Belfast to investigate some shenanigans involving a bloke who does sex murders. My synopsis makes it sound better than it actually is. I also watched the first two episodes of All or Nothing: Jose Mourinho. It's ok.

I've hardly played a single game - any videogame - all through lockdown - the Covid-19 lockdown ...
I played one or two games, then I went into suspended animation ....
