Interviewer: What persuaded you to star in Jaws 4? Michael Caine: Well, it paid for my house in the French Riviera.

I was reading 'Blowing the Bloody Doors Off' by Michael Caine on holiday. It was on the book shelf in the place we stayed in. Good read.

You know you can change that, right? For free even, once you've handed over enough money to Tom Nook. I'm also slightly taken aback as my own real house could be described as a half-arsed attempt at Mock Tudor, or as I like to call it, Mock Mock Tudor. Really? What sorcery is this? I know you can change the roof colour, but ... I'd like a sort of 1970s French Riviera look. The answer is, as so often in Animal Crossing, shovelling a Kapp'n's boatload of Bells in Tom Nook's direction. The Wiki has the whole catalogue (spoiler alert, natch) animalcrossing.fandom.com/wiki/House_customization_(New_Horizons)I'm currently rocking the grey stucco exterior, nice and simple, with a white lattice door and a black tiled roof. However! Speaking as a seasoned veteran of the previous game, New Leaf, my first thought when I made the final upgrade was "this can't be all". I don't want to make any promises I can't keep, but I'd like to point out that the side rooms in New Leaf were all the same size as the central room/attic/basement while in New Horizons it's quite cramped by comparison. In addition to this, New Leaf offered eventually three different styles of houses that one could freely switch out and customise. In other words, I wouldn't be at all surprised if there's an update at some point. There are now so many people for whom New Horizons is their first Animal Crossing game and who aren't used to the game's philosophy of thinking not in gaming hours but gaming months and years.

Ah - thank you!
Stucco does seem to be the best option.

So, how about that xbox then eh? That thing they announced about it? I didn't bother or read it but I bet it was either interesting, not interesting, or somewhere in the middle.

The trouble with Microsoft is that they always try to walk it in.

What's the biggest bat you've ever seen? I was on holiday two weeks ago. I was in Greece - on an island - and I swear - I saw a bat the size of a crow. Give me a minotaur two, I'll have a think. fruit bat

What's all this talk about sandy balls? Hasn't Amipal suffered enough?
I have just risked Rona exposure to get medicine from the pharmacy. That medicine better be worth it. Zero encounters with bats or Goths.

While I was out they dropped the trailer for the new Hyrule Warriors game. Sneaky.
Give it to me. Another endless timesink is just what I need.
