There are plenty of pros/cons to Trump genuinely having it or not and it being a scam (if it is I wouldn't expect him to be in on it, rather those behind the scenes have realised it's the only way to bench him).
He needs his rallies at the moment, he's behind in the polls with 30 or so days left. Even if this is to sideline him and give him the narrative of Alpha-Trump just shaking it off it's still kept him out of the game for 2 weeks.
I'm unsure if this means Biden would have to suspend his campaign. The recent debate had the most right leaning moderator. Missing the next debate might be just a side benefit.
So it could be a huge setback for him or an opportunity. If it is a play then I don't see it being one he's aware of and would only represent a hail mary desperation play by his team.

I pay them £11.99 a month to subscribe to the digital edition, and the woeful app that I had to delete as it kept opening itself instead of letting me use my browser. I don't think an annual payment was an option when I subscribed.

If he lives and loses the election then he wins because he can say he was too ill to contest it.

Waitrose was very sad when it closed.
It had been emptying for weeks
I was also sad as they did not discount the beer wine and spirits.
