I call Bull Shit on that image. If you zoom in it looks digitally manipulated, especially below the "I'm Sofa King Happy" slogan. Plus it appears to be in the UK (the number plate and chevron styling and direction on the roundabout) but that would suggest the relatively new-looking van was registered in 2000, but the vehicle behind has an LED central brake light, so definitely after 2006, and probably after 2014 or so. No wonder you guys all voted for Trump, you naive gulls. |

Day of the Jackal review pt 2 The plot of this show (not a spoiler) is that MI6 are on the trail of the Jackal, who has killed a major German politician and is known to be after other high profile targets. Yet there seems to be only one agent in MI6 working on this, using her personal contacts to advance the case. Every half hour or so she meets with her two bosses, who sit in an office and sternly admonish her that she is not getting results and needs to get the case closed. Then she goes back to her desk and thinks about her next move, alone. Then she falls out with her family because police people have families too, who are unable to accept that catching an international assassin might involve missing an evening meal sometimes. It's like one of the weaker series of Dempsey and Makepeace, except with worse acting and enormous amounts of money spent on cast, locations and soundtrack. The more I think about it, the angrier it makes me. 4 stars, looking forward to ep 3 tonight. It got a really good review in the Guardian for the acting, and how generally brilliant it is. Faceless vs Professional TV Critics. Hmmm. Fuckit, I'm never going to watch it anyway, and it's obviously shite. OTTM: I'm at work. |
