Amipal's post was one massive boast. Well played. 4* Did I mention that the windowsills are oak? The windowsills are oak.

Backdoor window boasting is the worst.
We only have a small window in our backdoor, so I can't really join in with the boasting.

I have also used pcspecialist before, for a gaming laptop. It still runs new games, but is a bit creaky. Struggled with Star Wars New Order, but was playable.
I’d fully recommend them, they’ll test your rig and let you know if what you’ve picked isn’t compatible or where it could be improved

How does one define a backdoor?
Our front and other door are on the same side. so I assume the backdoor leads to a Narnia thing.

That's not a secret garden, you just need to mow the lawn.

Chumbles
I looked at Mesh and they are a very similar price for a very similar specification. It might be worth checking Chillblast just to make sure you aren't paying top dollar for older products. But I have found most sites are similar in price
I have used Mesh, Chillblast & PC Specialist for work and home pcs and have nothing but good things to say about all of them. That is the pc were as advertised and worked reliably.
Which is all you can ask for.

It's not easy to be certain you are getting the best deal, but at least running a check against another site gives you a good idea that the price is right. You can't buy identical pcs from different sites. There is always at least a small difference to make them difficult to compare.
I wouldn't use Currys/PC World. I think they are expensive and more likely to pass off old stock as up to date.
I'm sure if you source parts from different places you could make a small saving, but then you have to put the PC together. I've never done that as for the £50 or so you can save I never thought it made much sense. Pay someone to assemble it and if it doesn't work right it is their problem. Do it yourself and it is your problem. I've upgraded PCs with RAM, graphics cards and HDs but by the time you come to get a new PC the case is usually years out of date anyway so it's easier to get all new stuff unless price is a massive issue, which I sense it is not.

BabyfarkmcGeezak . Are you aware that once you have completed DOOM on campaign, you can select the first level and replay it to pick up anything you missed first time around.
[EDIT] You also start with all the guns and upgrades. I've just checked.

Sheeps, why did you send me a WhatsApp telling me to sprinkle penicillin in the cases of all the PCs you've got me building?
Also: "I've upgraded PCs with Ewe graphics cards". ftfy

Those threadrippers are beasts. The PM's brother in law has one on his work machine. He works in mo-cap and they rattle through media encoding and the like.
My new m.2 has arrived from Jeff. As did the razer headphones. They're going back though. They have a really loose fit. I don't have a particularly small head so I dunno what that's about.

Well, that's Scotland unbeaten for a year: 7 wins, one draw. Best run for 30 years. Very hard to see us not winning the World Cup from here.

Morning!
Work was busy today. Can't complain.
So crank has a pin head like Carlton palmer. Classic crank.
Plasterer coming tomorrow. Been practicing my manly chat. The plumbers (boiler fitter) look of disgust as I was sat in my comfies, two screens + laptop, sipping tea, headphones on, will stay with me forever, as meanwhile he did man stuff, with a tool belt to boot.
"yeah pal, that's good skimming mate, nice and, erm, flat, that is squire"
"me, erm yeah pal, I sit at a laptop with my small smooth hands typing stuff all day"
Oh.
