I very nearly got run over by my wife driving my car in a Sainsburys car park. (That'll be the one on Purley Way, Croydon fact fans) Unlucky. I hope she gets another chance. I sold the car.

I am giving PUBG a go. My wee guy is not wearing shoes. How is he supposed to kill 100 people with no shoes?

I like the ambience of PUBG but it is very hard to see the items or the other players. Somehow I managed to finish second in my second game, because I am a pure killing machine.

Tonight, the moon is shrouded in clouds. The clouds themselves illuminated by it. Something spooky may go down this evening.

OTTM:
Yesterday I managed to snag an Xbox Series S, plus extra controller, for my two daughters' Christmas present. Whether it turns up in time, I mean, whether Santa can deliver on time, is another matter. Supposed to arrive 19th. We'll see.
I've never owned an Xbox or really played on one.
Do I still need to go on a list?
Also, serious question, anyone any knowledge on what's the best deal/package for the monthly sub so they have access to plenty of games?
(And sweary yanks, obvs).

I'm watching Blue Planet II in 4k on BBC iPlayer.
It's very pretty.

Tuffers They're doing gamepass ultimate for a £1 for the first month. {Edit} they're giving three months at the moment. They will then upgrade any Xbox live gold to ultimate when you resub. It was traditionally 1 months ultimate for three months gold. But. They seem to be giving folks 1 for 1. I bought a yrs Xbox live gold from shopto or cd keys - can't remember. But got 12 months ultimate. At the point of resubbing it tells you they're going to do it. So before I resubbed I bought the gold and added to my account. Your experience may vary. Ultimate gives you games on the bone, games on the pc and games to stream to Android devices. You also get the EA games as well that are in EA play.

Their website lists: Blue Planet II Dracula Dynasties His Dark Materials Seven Worlds, One Planet Not enough to justify a 4K TV unless you have either; Netflix Amazon Prime A Blu-Ray player (PS4?)

1080p looks fine on a 4K tv for the most part, depending on the upscaling. You sort of can tell the difference, but for the most part it isn't that noticeable.
Nature documentaries do benefit from 4K.
A reasonable upscaler makes watching dvds or SD tv ok. Not spectacular, but not awful.
There's some decent 4K content on YouTube as well, if you look hard enough.
