Amipal's binblog was a real tear jerker. Where he lives must be a nexus, so much going on there.

I really want a good book to read ... I want something bleak and sort of empty. Something downbeat. I cannot find it ... Any recommendations? The closest thing I can get at the moment is 'A death in the family' by Karl Ove Knausgard. I like it so far, but don't know if I can commit to a whole series. I want something I can race through in a day. I have ordered a book called 'The Maimed' by Herman Ungar but it is not here yet ... I feel rough. Hunger by Knut Hamsun, if you want to keep it Scandi. Very sad to hear of Mr Roosters passing Tenthen. What an appalling catastrophe this bloody virus has been.

If there are any hotshot TV researchers reading I think 'Celebrity Recycle Bin' would make first-class viewing. May be so, but I refuse to get a TV licence just for that, especially if it turns out to be rubbish

I have read it. I liked it a lot.
I liked Mysteries a lot too. Not quite the sort of bleakness I hanker for at the moment though. I would like the monologue of a man considering buying himself a Peperami at a service station. Or along those lines.

Sounds like you need Mr. Tiddles auto biography: memoirs of a serial killer (or to remove a splinter with a chainsaw) Part 1.

Did Sheep earlier basically admit to drinking two cases of Duvel per day? Unusual honesty there.

Amipal's binblog was a real tear jerker. Is that because you live under a Green MP, yet have a terrible waste-collection scheme in Brighton & Hove?
